Ratings for Dr. Mary Ann Curiba
#1, I'm a 51-year-old WORKING adult; if I was consistently 2+ hours LATE for work, I guarantee I'd be out of a job real quickly. There is NO excuse acceptable-I have been going to Dr. Curiba 4 times a year for the past 5 years, and have NEVER been seen at my scheduled appt. time...that is INCONSIDERATE behavior on the doctor's part. #2, having dealt with psoriatic arthritis for 27 years, I was very dismayed to learn recently of the gel form of Voltaren-how could this doctor NOT suggest this to me, given that my form of RA primarily affects hands/feet? That's just bad knowledge and surely not trying to help me! And...#3, this is 2015: What percentage of doctors do NOT accept credit/debit cards? I'll bet it's a very low number...and Dr. Curiba is one of 'em. My employer pays for my deductible through use of an HSA credit card, and I have to jerk around getting reimbursed for the paper check I had to write to pay my co-pay. Maybe the commenters below who don't mind the intolerable wait do not work for a living...but for those of us who do work, consistently having to wait 2 hours past your scheduled time doesn't play well with one's boss.
Dr Curiba is a very compassionate doctor that always takes her time with patients. I have never felt rushed with her. She always has time for your questions. The downside is that her appointments often run very late. Best to call before you go and the staff can tell you how far behind she is. I have seen her for over 15 years and I have no intention of changing doctors.
Auto Immune Diseases are no fun - been going to Dr. Curiba for 15 years. She always has had a kind compassionate approach and very thorough in her evaluations. One time I complained to my primary care physician about the wait time - I was told "If you don't want to wait I can send you to a doctor that isn't up to par - their offices have no wait." Thank you for caring
I have continually waited an hour and a half to 2 hours each time. I even scheduled the first appointment of the day. 45 minutes after my appointment time she still had not even arrived at the office! I walked out and I will not be returning to see her
Nice lady yet she is terrible on timing. If you have an appointment don't expect to be seen right away, a good hr to hr and a half tops. When it comes to waiting. Don't believe me? Try ..and you'll see. She does spend alot of time though. But poor on answering questions. Good luck. Staff was great, but it looked like they got rid of the other girls and hired new more experienced woman. They are clueless but at least their pleasant
