Ratings for Dr. Jacob Maurice Lefkowitz
You know, if a Doctor expects a patient to wait for periods of time that are in excess of what is appropriate. Then he better at the very least make them comfortable. Those chairs in his office are antagonizing at the very least. If you didn't have a back issue prior the appointment, then you most likely will before you get the chance to see him(add a new complaint to the list). I don't actually have any personal issues with the Doctor, but when you make any appointment it is the responsibility of both parties to make an effort to keep them. It is completely disrespectful, and unprofessional for the Doctor to keep Patients waiting in conditions where there are other patients waiting with contagions where the other patient come into contact with. As a result these people are exposed to who knows what. So if there is any concern about the spread, or control of airborne viruses, there seems to be no effort to control it. The waiting game is probably an experiment to see how many more people get the other patients sickness. If the schedule was kept at a reasonable pace then this would not be an issue. I have had to wait across from people that have no effort to cover their mouth when sneezing, or coughing. Considering how small the area is it isn't any surprise that you will pick up something in the process.
I will agree with others the wait time is ridiculous. While it is getting better, waiting is still a large part of visits to Dr. Jack. Having said that he is a very caring doctor and overall a good person. He is very understanding. When all I need is a prescription repeat all I do is pop in and he'll get it for me. True, that can take up to an hour at times, but more often than not, waits for that are not long. I like him, have been going to him for over 10 years and will continue to do so.
I've been in Dr. Lefkovitz office for about 10 years. Waiting time is rediculous. In terms of knowledge - I"m usually coming prepared, what to ask, and what specialist to be sent to. He looks very puzzled, when you are talking to him. If you have more than one issue to ask - usually by the end of your visit - he forgets, what referrals he supposed to give you and you have to remind him again and again.
Great Doctor but really need think twice about going as wait times are usually around 2 hours. If you look at the schedule he triple books patients for the same timeslot. Nothing is more irritating than having to wait in that small cramped office.
