Ratings for Dr. Irina Bystrin
I found Dr. I. Bystrin to be great. She was able to diagnose my problem quickly, and offered me input into the healing process and timeline. I found she took an appropriate amount of time and care with me as a patient. She was lovely and professional.
I think the previous review by another doctor, not about Irina Bystrin. I doubt that this lady can help if you have diagnosis little bit complicated than "cold". She didn't help me in any way. The first time she prescribed me hormonal drugs without understanding the causes of disease. This medicine didn't help me. The second time she said she couldn't help. She referred me to another useless specialist. Finaly, I was treated by another family doctor. She found out the cause of my illness just with a simple blood test. I won't recommend this doctor to anyone. It's useless. Absolutely.
While Dr. Bystrin may be "old", is that not a testament to her experience and wisdom? Upon my visit with her, while she may have had trouble hearing she showed compassion and understanding that is seen by very few doctors these days. She referred me immediately when she was unsure of my condition, which shows modesty not ignorance. After following up with another physician and doubting their care, I called Dr. Bystrin, who after meeting me only ONCE spent time contacting the other doctor and spending time with me on the phone on her own personal time. While any physician can write a prescription and make a "diagnosis" in the 40 seconds they spend with you, it takes a truly special DOCTOR to show compassion to a stranger and accept that some things are out of their scope.
I agree with the first reviewer. This was possibly the worst experience I have had with any doctor, ever. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day but during my visit, Dr. Irina Bystrin demonstrated behaviour that was belligerent and lacking in human decency. She also appeared uninformed about the medication she prescribed and did not encourage questions.
She must at least 70yrs old. She had hard time hearing and I had hard time understanding what she was saying. She had hard time reading the requisition form that she filled out for me. I found out later that she filled in wrong information and called the clinic to correct the mistake. Staff told me to come back in and I adamantly refused telling her to go and ask the doctor to correct the mistake. Put me on hold for ew minutes and they said they'd correct it. But I'm in doubt..
