My appointment with Dr. Gharibo was without question the worst doctor appointment I've ever had, and I include all my root canal appointments in that assessment. He did not listen, would not let me speak, and did not care. Everything about the appointment was perfunctory. He really did put the pain back in pain management. He is almost the stereotype of a cold unfeeling doctor. Never again.

The coldest, most impersonal and uncaring doctor. Robotic, doesn't listen.

Very uncaring, cold - qualities especially egregious in a pain specialist -- he should practice in operating rooms, where empathy is not crucial. What a disappointment.

For over a year I have been to tons of Dr's for my ailment then met with Dr. Gharibo. I wish I had seen him earlier before my issue progressed as bad as it did. He is very intelligent, very compassionate, communicative, spends time with you and most importantly finally helped ease my pain without using strong meds and was able to figure out what was wrong when no one else in nyc was able to and only wanted to treat me with strong meds. You may have to wait a bit for him in the waiting room but he is worth the wait.

Dr. Ghirabo prescribed me Tramadol, a pain reliever subscription that affects serotonin levels by manipulating how serotonin affects the body. I had lower back pain, and after refusing to have two needles stabbed into my spinal cord, to his disdain, he prescribed Tramadol. He never even mentioned or went through the severe side effects I did experienced. Constipation, vertigo, and feeling, even depressed, even though Tramadol is an anitdepressant. The result, my pain is worse, not better.
