Ratings for Dr. Neil Duggal
Before letting him touch you, ask him if he has ever done surgery that wasn't required? He performed surgery without verifying if spinal fluid was still leaking out of my nose on Monday after it was found on the Friday before. At the end of the surgery his comment was "I have good news.. there was no leakage when he explored and it wasn't necessary to patch anything up" How is that good news, you should have never gone In the first place. Rude beyond belief... This guy really does think he is god. I questioned him continuously on the subject and his answer was "what is your profession?" I said businessman. His response "doctors don't make good business men and businessmen don't make good doctors" Well Dr. Doolittle, you sir are not a Doctor!!!
After having back issues for some time I was fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Neil Duggal. I am not qualified to judge surgeons of this level but I believe like anything else not everyone is equal to their peers. It is unfortunate that in the medical system in Ontario, Doctors and supporting staff are stretched and wait times may seem unreasonable due to oversights created due to this condition however there is no other surgeon at this level and therefore unless absolutely necessary I trust only Dr. Duggal to oversee my back surgeries and related treatments...thank you Dr. NEIL Duggal!! My son just had a pituitary adenoma surgery performed by Dr Duggal and his team in London. Dr Duggal was professional, honest and very caring during our pre-op visit and after the surgery was performed. He was instrumental in getting our son's surgery date booked sooner than we ever thought. Our confidence we had in him and his team made this stressful and worrysome time more easy to deal with. My son's surgery went excellent and we cannot thank Dr Duggal enough. He is a great doctor and I feel so lucky we were referred to him for such an important and delicate procedure. Thank you so much Dr Duggal - you are the greatest!!!! Lisa T
In 2007 Dr. Duggal performed surgery removing three discs from my neck, doing a bone graft from my hip, installing a titanium plate and six screws. He and the surgical team saved my life as the space around my spinal cord had become too narrow and had to be increased or I was at risk of death with a fall or accident. I found Dr. Duggal to be superb. I am about to have my second surgery with Dr. Duggal on the lumbar region of my back. I would choose no other surgeon. He is straight forward which I like and has always been courteous and shown as good sense of humour which I also like. I trust him with my life (obviously) and recommend him highly. Leslie Glennie
I had burr hole surgery performed by Dr Duggal when I was 16 I am now 28 and a qualified pharmacist. I am very saddened to hear some of the bad reviews. I had a fantastic experience and no signs of infection. The wound was drained properly. I also had no long term complications. Dr Duggal if you read this I would like to thank you for what you did for me. I now know working in the health system we sometimes get frustrated, there are so many pressures on us and economical restraints. Please never forget the patients you treated in 2006 and keep the good work going no matter the pressures you face. I am also interested in finding out the nature of the burr hole cover you placed to cover the burr holes. If you are able to address this please email me at email@example.com.
This doctor was very rude and ignorant, with a bad attitude. He made me wait for over an hour after my appointment before he finally saw me! He spent no more than 4 minutes with me, didn't even Examine me at all. And he summed my 8 years chronic back pain with 2sentences " I can operate, let's book a surgery. He didn't even explain why I need the surgery. One of the worst specialists I have seen in Ontario so far.
This man is rude. I waited many months to see him for a consult, He suggested spinal surgery and when I asked him several questions he became very terse and patronizing. He was rude and clearly frustrated that I needed information and more clarity about the procedure and recovery. Jennifer his receptionist is well suited to his practise. I was told she was rude and insensitive before dealing with her so I thought I was prepared - but when it came time to interact with her I was amazed at her coldness and insensitivity. It is a shame that Neil and Jennifer could not show some kindness for people who are often dealing with a critical and scary health issue.
