Ratings for Dr. Stuart H. Packer
Dr. Packer is part of a skilled team. He championed my treatment, took on a highly advanced throat cancer with the words: "This is nothing." He may not be as huggable as some would like and his bedside manner might be called, well, straight forward. I owe my current health to Dr. Packer, and his team. His head nurse Rita puts a very human face on the treatment.
Dr. Packer has a terrible bedside manner, is very poor at communicating (he will tell you to email him when you ask him a question to his face), lacks the ability to notice emergent problems with patients, and is an overall poor selection of an oncologist, as i have found out much too late. I would just like to warn any prospective patients. Just because he is afiliated with Mt. Sinai, that doesnt mean he is a great doctor, or even a decent one for that matter.
