Ratings for Dr. Florian M. Cortese
Dr Cortese was nervous and impatient. He got my husband upset and aggitated me alot. He got upset when we talked about pain management for my very painful dibilitating condition. In which upset my husband further as I suffered so much pain it was ruining our lifes. I ended up having to go to a different state. He had wanted to give me surgery. So glad i did as i didnt even need the surgery! he wasnt compassionate at all. I cried when i left his office. i found out that i was on medicine that could of killed me. I was taking medicine that wasnt good at all for the issue,. it ate the lining of my colon away. causing irrepairable damage.
Rushed to get me done before his lunch. Hospital theatre was not set up properly for my procedure. Did not wait to speak with my family for permission before procedure. Had me sedated before I signed papers with no memory of anything. Felt very pressured since I had no opportunity to speak with my family members either. Did none of his own diagnostic work. Unecessary procedure at time. No gall stones found. Did not use triage of my worst problems first. Just wanted his money for another 10 minute rush job. Created puncture and waited until I was septic to begin appropriate treatment/repair. I ended up life flighted to another state and faced a very long hospitalized recovery period. I do not recommend this hack at all. Patient Beware!
I saw Dr. Cortese for a endo and exo scope. I am a 22-year-old female and was extremely scared about the procedure. He was very calm, and managed to calm me down before the procedure. Before we began, he gave me a detailed run down of all the medications I would receive and what they did. I had no "holes" in my intestines and recovered the next day. 2 days later his office called to see how I was doing.
When my mother was in the hospital a few years back he had no compassion we had to fire him so he wouldn't upset her. His wife sold Mary Kay cosmetics and even bothered her to buy some cosmetics. Since that time I know of 3 of his patients that he poked holes in their intetines during a procto and told two of them when they called because they were in pain to take some Tylenal. I know there have been suits filed.
