Ratings for Dr. John C. Steinmann
Workman comp case does send his documentation to adjustor in timely matter. Doesn't preform physical head to toe assessment during my visit and does not document them . This highly affects my case. Adjustor informed me that my body parts that has been affected from my is not covered due to the fact he didn't document it. Very disappointed in this doctor.
I came here for a workers comp case I was hit head on in a car accident at 50 miles an hour not my fault this doctor told me that all I need to do is go to gym and lose some weight because I'm fat those were his exact words to other doctors agree that I need back surgery and this doctor does not care at all I strongly believe that he is being paid by Worker's Compensation if I were you I would run as far in as fast as you can away from his doctor he is absolutely horrible I will be filing a lawsuit. For malpractice with this doctor
Hi all of you that have back or neck don't even bother to see this monster I have horrible pain due to lumbar and multi level neck fusion MRI shows bulging disks with 7mm and 4 to 5mm and and positive for sciatica left and right nerve damage had two QME and shows some of my vertebrae bone with bone. And yet after only looking at the X-ray this we're his exact words(take the pain and keep talking the meds or go to the gym and stop taking the meds look at you you look like an eighty year old man) and he walked out,i struggle with depression after what he told me thank god my wife of 35years was my side all day n night I was so depressed would've been alone will not be writing this review dr steinmann don't know what happened to you within your childhood or if your parents forced you to be a doctor get some help before you kill someone with you attitude and diagnosis QUITE BEEN a doctor.
Wait times are long at all doctors it seems like, so I will not complain about a long wait time here. It was better than the wait times for the primary doctor. (Welcome to the effects of Obamacare.) This doc is in and out of the exam room very quickly. Hard to say if that is his style or if it it because he is so overbooked but all docs are overbooked now. Had the same issue at the eye doc and at the ear, nose, and throat doc. All are booked months in advance as well. Not sure how he is as a surgeon but he does not offer much in the way of help or suggestions during an exam. In asking him what my limitations are, he simply says if it hurts, don't do it. No pain meds or physical therapy. He didn't even look at my x-rays, he only read the radiologist report so I insisted on seeing the x-rays and he showed me just one. I just wish he would have looked at all of my x-rays rather than quickly scan the written report. So is it him or the new wave of quantity, not quality, in this new healthcare era?
After waiting about 2 hours (seriously!) for a 3 o'clock appt. we got in about 4:55 PM. This is a Federal WC visit due to a fall at work. The good doctor took two x-rays, ignored the bulging & herniated discs & the offset vertebra & told me that my back problem was arthritis & normal aging. His diagnosis was in conflict with 3 other doctors, dozens of other x-rays & 2 MRI's. His report contained numerous other errors as well. He had written that I drink alcohol every day (I seldom drink), that I have a normal gait (at least 2 other doc's disagree), that I have a scar from prior back surgery (I've had no back surgery) & that I was asymptomatic prior to the fall. (I've been symptomatic of 20 years & I'm maxed out on meds for the nerve damage). After the first 10 min. or so he wanted to talk about moving his biz to the high desert to St. Mary's & wanted to know about housing prices & good areas to live. I see him as a "****-in-a-suit" dr. whose opinion can be bought. Do NOT use!
