This young woman is still learning and building her practice. Like most young p-docs she tends to over rely on medication. She works part time in a community mental health facility so perhaps she is used to really ill clients. She is mostly behavioral based although much of her "advice" seems based on Buddhist beliefs (if you just didn't want a career or a husband then you wouldn't be so sad when you lose it). She is caring and open but lacks the depth of life experience you would expect. She might be okay for a high school or college student who suffers from "angst". If you want marital advice it would make more sense to see someone who has actually been married or has kids of her own. She takes forever to return phone calls and her bill was sent out so late that our insurance rejected it. The final straw - she yelled at me on the phone for calling her. My husband felt like we were helping her do an internship so we found someone more experienced (a psychologist) who is great.
