Ratings for Dr. Francisco J. Garriga
Dr garriga pease comeback. You are certainly missed, as for your partner at the clinic, tment. been gone I have been on treatment for about 2 months, missing treatment for oer 12 months now and every time I stop start treatment, my body reactone at the center seem communication between the office staff and doctor is awful, there is a major lack of communication there, and look out if the like you. I am now looking around for a different rheumatologist as this current one at the center is not worth the paper his name is written on
Dr Garriga is the best of the best! He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever met! (I am a nurse) He always listened and was always heartfelt! He had outstanding knowledge of all the latest research and theories on SLE. He got me started on yoga with is a great alternative to pain meds which which having 4 small children is not something I want to get started on! He retired in February and I know it was a crush to his patients. He will be dearly missed by his staff but more so by his patients that not only saw him as their doctor, but as their friend!! May he enjoy his retirement, this man deserves it!!
I had been hospitalized and saw several specialist who tried to diagnose my health problems that were causing liver failure with no success. An entire year with no answers, I was really sick and in terrible pain. Because my rheumatoid factor was also elevated, I was sent to Dr. Garriga. Ten minutes after sitting with Dr. G, he knew the answer and got on the phone with the other specialists. I'm not kidding, I was despondent, he saved me. It took awhile but 10 years later I am stable and while I struggle now and then, I'm doing well. He's very busy and it can be a little hard to get past the desk on the phone, but the new online/email system helps that. I've even used the fax machine so I can tell him everything without trying to explain it to the desk nurse. I dread the day he retires.
Dr Garriga is very knowledgeable about diagnosing, but if you need anything more than Tramadol for pain or anything for insomnia look elsewhere. The other bad thing about it, if you need to reach him you have to give a message to patient services and then they give the message to the nurse who gives it to the Dr who then tells the nurse what to say when she calls you back. The nurse has a very irritating whiny voice and the automated system will make your head spin with how fast the recording speaks. I got my diagnosis and am looking elsewhere. Finding a good overall rheumatologist is very difficult!
