Dr Min wasn't our designated physician at RFP yet ended up doing our retrieval, transfer and most importantly, the main physician who has been supporting and guiding me through late onset OHSS. He is exceptional. He takes his time to be thorough and is meticulous and conservative in his recommendations. He has erred on the side of caution with this OHSS and has been the one person at the clinic to make us feel supported through this uncharted territory. He hasn't pushed off symptoms to our family physician, which I have experienced by some of the staff, rather has been proactive and up to speed with exactly what is going on before he even enters the room. He isn't a physician that is reading the chart as he walks in- he is prepared. RFP is fortunate to have him and should you be in his care, you are in a fortunate position. I am grateful for his consistency, knowledge and care.
Dr Jason Min did my wife's egg retrieval, he was great and has done a great job for us, my wife only had 6 eggs while he extracted 4 eggs that could be fertilized.
Thanks for the work, we trusted him.

I think he is the best, most supportive and understanding doctor . thanks Dr Min for helping me when I needed the most. Today if I am enjoying the happiness of motherhood its all coz of u doc. I think couples who are consulting him are very fortunate.
I was referred to Dr.Min back in January after 14 months of infertility. I got in very quickly to see him and had a large uterine septum removed shortly after! Dr.Min is one of the best specialist's I've even seen he is very knowledgeable, supportive, caring, honest & understanding. I feel very fortunate to have had him as my surgeon & would highly recommend Dr.Min to anyone needing to see a reproductive endocrinologist :)
Thank you Dr.Min you are amazing!
This review applies to the Calgary Regional Fertility clinic rather than Dr. Min. Why can't they hire someone to ANSWER THE PHONE!!!! I've called them MANY times in the past and I have NEVER had someone just pick up the phone. Instead I get a recording to either leave a message or call the same number that I just called. The people who work there do call me back, almost always when I am driving or in a work meeting. So then I have to call them back, then they call me back...again almost always at a time when I cannot answer the phone. Just hire more people to answer the phone when it rings! The patients are paying tons of money, so please do us a favour, make life a tiny bit easier, and ANSWER the phone.
Every experience with this clinic and Dr. Min has been positive for my husband and I. We had our initial appointment 4 months after the referral, which seemed like a miracle considering we were told that the Edmonton clinic (where we live) had an 18month waitlist to get in for a consultation. We have had three IUI's (unsuccessful) but the clinic always returned my calls promptly, answered all of my questions and everyone I dealt with was extremely helpful and professional. I found Dr. Min to be knowledgeable, personable, candid and I have complete confidence in his practice. We had multiple laughs throughout our initial appointments- I appreciate that. As we start our IVF cycle I am relieved that he is our specialist.
The fertility clinics' support staff is amazing, but if I had the option, I would request to change to another physician at the clinic. He is late, always late; and by this I mean that at our last appointment he was over an hour late and didn't even acknowledge this fact when he came into the room. He asks vague questions and when I have asked for clarification we attempt to fumble our way though answers, he laughs at us. He gave verbal dosing instructions on medications he prescribed, and when I said I wanted to write it down, he laughed and said "I sure hope you can remember this", which I didn't, and ended up maxing my dosage in 1 week instead of 4. Maybe he is trying to make light of the situation but this is a pretty stressful time in our lives and making fun of patients isn't helpful, and if I am feeling anxious and like I might not remember something, he should feel it is more important to get the dosing right than to make fun of someone. He provided us with 3 treatment options considering potentially inconclusive tests (instead of repeating simple blood tests), but my GP had told me of other options beforehand, and that is the treatment I am undergoing, not any of his that pushed towards what would cost us out of pocket. If you are being referred to this clinic, I recommend requesting a physician other than him; but then again, relatively speaking, he could be the best here considering that he's the only one we have seen. That would be scary but not surprising as many specialists don't seem to be interested in much more than making money.
I have been at this clinic for 3yrs now. It started off a great experience. .but after trying 5 times..one gets a little discouraged. Dr min has stayed positive thru it but him as well as the rest of the staff need to improve on their professional approach. This is a super sensitive time for anyone going thru this and by time number 5 after $50 000 later phone calls are not returned promptly, directions by nurses are lacking detail and consistency. .I only know this bc its been 5x. The clinic was amazing to start but sure have lost that caring touch....maybe too busy for the staff they have?
