Ratings for Dr. COREY N. Goldstein
Dr. Goldstein helped me find the right meds when other psychiatrists had given up. He is very respectful and cares about his patients. If you are female, don't let other people tell you that you need a female psychiatrist. What you need is the best one, and in my opinion that's Dr. Goldstein.
Dr. Goldstein is going to be a superb psychiatrist someday. He is hardworking, open-minded, easy-to-reach, and literally works himself to the point of exhaustion. He also is the protege of Dr. John Zajecka, which speaks volumes to Goldstein's potential. Right now, however, he is a bit green in a branch of medicine that is the furthest thing from an exact science. Good psychiatrists draw on the accumulated knowledge of hundreds of patients, their reactions to various treatments, years of fiddling with medicine combos, etc, and they use this knowledge to ultimately diagnose and successfully treat patients. Goldstein is certainly on his way up, given the number of patients who rotate in and out of his office non-stop, but he still is diagnosing "from the textbook" rather than from experience in the trenches. He's in his mid-30s, so definitely keep an eye on him. He's going to be a superstar soon. Just not yet.
