Ratings for Dr. Josh Davis
A few months ago, I had an ear infection. Went to my PCP and got antibiotics. She told me to come back after a week if there was still a problem. After a week and still having ear pain, I returned, but my PCP wasn't available, so they had me see Davis. I explicitly told the nurse I had an ear infection that wasn't going away. Later I find out she put down a "cold" as my primary complaint. Davis comes in, acts like I'm 10 years old (spoiler alert: I am in my thirties) with his "hey buddy!" act. Looks in my ears and tells me "these things take awhile to clear up." Sends me home with nada. I went to an emergency appointment with an ENT three days later and discovered that I had permanent hearing loss in my infected ear--hearing loss that could have been prevented if Davis paid attention and took his patients seriously. Baptist Medical at Pace is generally awful, but if you have to go, avoid this washed up frat boy at all costs.
Staff was very helpful...Dr Davis not so much. I went in and had to wait and wait, he overbooks. When I finally got to see him I felt rushed and I was not a priority. He didn't listen to why I came in that day, the issue I came in for was not addressed, I had maybe about 7 minutes of his time before I was dismissed.
The rest of the staff at the Baptist Medical Group Pace Practice are wonderful, competent professionals who listen carefully and are dedicated to helping their patients. Dr. Davis, however, is condescending, slow to act (assuming he even acknowledges that your health complaint is legitimate to begin with) and, even in the face of proof that you're telling the truth about your pain and illnesses, will still treat you as though you're just a hypochondriac.
