We found Aciphex caused my daugthers symtoms. Took her off. Called the new gastro doc. Could'nt get in for 1mo. So, we saw Marshall instead 1&1/2wks later. In the mean time my daughter is sick because no meds. So WE did research & found adding acid (not reducing) to food makes her feel alot better than on Aciphex. When we finaly saw Marshall she said she would have prescribed Zantac not Aciphex. (Didn't she listen, ADDING, not reducing, makes her feel alot better.) Now my daughter is anxious because she senced Marshall didn't listen, & because of that Marshall said she needs to see a psy. Marshall won't tell her the side effecs of Zantac because "she'll have them." But, she said adding to much acid will cause seizures. When we finaly saw the new gastro, he said if it works, continue & if your only using a pinch, don't worry. He also said Aciphex inhibits vit. B12 absorbtion = all her symtoms including neuropothy in her hands, maybe PERMANENT!
