After sustaining an open fracture of the long bones in my right leg, it seemed very likely that my leg might need to be amputated. Unable to help me at Headwaters in Orangeville, I was taken to Brampton Civic Hospital, where I was blessed to be seen and operated on by Dr. Sekyi-Otu. Living with the constant fear of losing my leg, Dr. Sekyi-Otu saw me frequently over many months, consulting with his peers, at times, in order to ensure that the best was done for me. Now, after7 months and 3surgeries, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief that when I look down, my leg is still there. I don't know when I will be able to walk again but I will always be grateful for Dr. Sekyi-Otu, his experience, his knowledge and his caring.

Doctor is okay he did my acl repair although the problem never fully went away. His staff are absolutely horrible and never respond to phone calls. Must have left at least 20 messages and they never even call back.

I have had 3 surgeries with Dr. Sekyi-Otu and his expertise is invaluable. Not much for conversation but he knows what he's talking about. I would highly recommend him. Sincerely.

Worst doctor I've ever seen. No help from him. Results and another doctor say one thing and he says another thing. Don't trust him.

He told me that my collar bone was healing and moving as a unit for 3 months... It never actually fused/healed and was still in 2 separate pieces. I required 2 surgeries which luckily, another surgeon performed.

Won't recommend. Don't go to this doctor. Rude, no empathy, in and out of his office for an appointment in 5 miners. Doesn't give you the time of day. No bed side manner. My husband went to see him because his hip was bothering about 2 years after he had done a hip replacement. He told my husband he needed his hip revision surgery and wanted to book a date for surgery . My husband wanted to take a bit of time to think about it. A few weeks later I called to make an appointment to book surgery. We had to wait 6 months for another appointment. When he finally so my husband he told him he didn't need surgery. As a matter of fact. He said "you dontvwalncwirhva cane". ( my husband dies walk with a cane and had the cane with him). When I told him that and pointed to the cane he made a face and said " well let me see you walk up and down the hall". When my husband did as he was asked He said " you don't even limp ". But said ok I will do the surgery. So we were given a date for surgery. By the tine we got home, we received a call from his office and the surgery was cancelled and the office would call as back with a new date. ( we live 5 mins from his office ). What could have happened in the time we got home to have to cancel my husbands surgery?!!!!! Long story short. My husband went to another surgeon at Sunnybrook and had to have both hips revised. Because he had the metal on Metal hips that were defective and were relishing cobalt into his blood stream. He had revision in his right hip on Oct 2015 and revision on his left hip on Jan 2016. And thus person who calls himself a surgeon told him he didn't need surgery Do not go to this person
