On May 13, 2015 I had a Davinci Robotic Prostatectomy....surgery apparently went okay, cancer removed but a rare complication needed to be addressed with the bladder neck. as the enlarged prostate had a fairly sizable intravesical median lobe. Then on May 14th my red blood/hemoglobin count went extremely low. I was transfused 3 units of PRBC, to get count up to minimal acceptable level. Released on May 18, 2015 still uncomfortable and in pain and unable to sit in wheel chair I walked down to my ride home. Unfortunately, I went back to the ER later that day on May 18, 2015 around 10pm and re-admitted to TMF early morning on May 19, 2015....scans and tests being performed with mixed evaluation on my status. Unfortunately on May 21, 2015 rushed into ICU due to worsening condition....trauma team Dr. Robert Ellis was called in and performed an exploratory surgery with abdomen wash out. Dr. Rober Ellis also performed two more surgical procedures on May 23rd and May 25th. He corrected the hematoma and acute sepsis leak. Dr. Robert Ellis saved my life as my wife was told for about a week, they were not sure if I would be alive the next day. Both my wife and I are forever grateful to Dr. Robert Ellis. His wisdom, expertise, compassion and understanding of the critical nature was paramount to my being alive today. God Bless you Dr. Robert Ellis. Also, to the trauma team headed by various RN's and Dr. Luis Fernandez

Dr Ellis performed an appendectomy on me. He left approx 1 inch of my appendix. 5 month later I awoke in severe pain. After 3 trips to the ER, and a week in the hospital they finally discovered an infected appendix. I then had my 2nd appendectomy (different surgeon). I am now left with a second set of medical bills for the 2nd appendectomy. TMF hospital provided no help and has turned us over to a collection agency. They said I received "Standard Care"..
