The doctor did not even spend five minutes with me. He said that he had herniated a disc too. I told him that although I did, I did not feel the pain of the herniation because the nerve damage in the back of my head was so bad. My history clearly shows that I was misdiagnosed for five years - why would I walk around with a painful herniated disc in my neck if I could actually feel it, which proves the nerve pain is so horrible it covered the pain, so he should have been sympathetic. He refused to refill my Fentanyl patch, which is one of the most potent pain medications, and when I asked him what about withdrawal, he said, quote, "You're not going to die." It is known in the medical community that w/d should be done under doctor's care, and a Pain Specialist I saw later said, No dr. in ND is going to just let you go into withdrawal. Dr. Smith did. He could've at least prescribed Ativan & Clonodine patches. Will be filing report & requesting refund. Unethical violated Hypocratic Oath. F
