Ratings for Dr. David Lamb
I have been on pain meds and panic attack meds for 30 years and all of a sudden can no longer get it don't know where to turn now it's not my fault he screwed up someware. Now what do i do. He should fight for his patient not leave them hanging
Dr. Lamb is very quiet. As I worked in health care as a home care provider and also looked after two of my immediate family members who where very ill and also as a volunteer in medical facilities, I am used to a more talkative doctor. This is not to infer that Dr. Lamb is incompetant but only to say he seems to be a litttle hesitant about the answer to give me when I ask him a question. He is still a very friendly doctor with a good staff and one I and my family can trust.
I too am having to switch doctor's and I absolutely DO NOT want to :(. So sad finally found a doctor I trust seeing my biggest issue is my mental state.... I don't do well with new ppl and communication.. he understands this and I'm so so so thankful for him and his knowledge he has shared with me... And I agree .... Maybe seeing how much him losing half his patients ... considering I'm not even on pain meds just simply the only anti anxiety medication.... Wake up ppl!!!!!!! These deaths in Canada are happening by bad people putting drugs in others from China.... And now you penalize not only the doctors helping but the patients that will continue to receive medication .......but through a different doctor. I was in a horrible accident and as a Young lady. 25 years wouldn't even think of a narcotic to give me bcuz he's amazing and knows best!!!!. Let Dr. Lamb do his job.!!!!! So he can save lives and give ppl what they need... This is just getting stupid!!!! What about taking China's doctor's license.!!!!
I recently switched Dr's because of Dr lamb giving up his narcotics license and my main issue being chronic pain. He took on a lot of patients from other Drs and I think this was his undoing. It resulted in him being overloaded with a tonne of pain narcotic patients. The waiting room is always full and overbooked. You will call for an hr to get thru with any questions. Appts that are suppose to be made are messed up or forgotten about. The receptionist is stressed right out. The College of Physicians has come down hard on him and many other Drs across the province on this narcotic matter. I believe he fought hard against them to keep his right to care for his patients and in the end the battle was too much, one man against the big machine :( He is a very nice man and he really does care about his people. The last couple yrs have had him and the receptionist overwhelmed and I'm afraid that they have dropped the ball on many occasions because of this. Hopefully, (now that many of his acute pain patients have to find other Drs to get the meds they need) his caseload slows down and he can get back to being the great Dr he was, instead of the stressed out, overworked, unappreciated one he is now. Cheers David Lamb! Thank you for everything. Mich, go on a vacation, you've earned it! I wish you both nothing but the best.
We have had doctor lamb for many years. He has always been helpful and if he didn't know he would refer you to someone else. However he has now taken on too many patients and it's difficult to get in to see him and when you do you wait along time. Im also confused as to why he doesn't prescribe narcotics anymore to his patients that live with acute pain. I've have never heard of a doctor who can't prescribe pain medication. It has left many patients concerned about how they will get medication for their pain. Short of getting a new doctor you are now left to suffer. Finding a new doctor is not easy.
