As a patient with mixed connective tissue disease with a triggered progressive neuromuscular disease I needed a doctor that would at least consult with a collegue if he/she did not understand these diseases or their treatments. Instead, without having or looking at ANY of my medical history, tests, specialist's reports, he decided to take me off steroids and put me on ibuprofin 800mgs with methotrexate. He seemed to think steroids (immune suppressent) are only an anti-inflammatory and did not understand the danger in stopping this medication or the weaning process it requires. Further, ibuprofin and methotrexate can NOT be taken together as it causes liver and kidney toxicity. This doctor is dangerous for anyone with anything more than a common flu.
