Ratings for Dr. AL P. MacIulis
Dr. was very helpful, giving many suggestions and non-pill helps such as braces and hot wax to help ease pain along with medication. He takes the time to answer my questions when I have them. In about 10 visits in the last couple of years I have only waited a long time once.
Talks more about politics & religion more than medicine. Not worth the money. Thinks every ailment can be cured with an injection and some things just can't be. Not to mention that I waited over 2 hours to be seen for 15 mins. Staff is always cheerful & apologetic for lack of respect for his patients time. They were more help then the doctor himself. NOT WORTH IT!!!
Dr. Maciulis is a very interesting doctor. He knows a ton about Fibromyalgia and Arthritis but is very unconventional in his bedside manner. He is the first doctor I have ever been to who gave a thorough exam when diagnosing my FM. He is brilliant and like most brilliant people is sometimes difficult to relate to. If you can find a way to relate to him, Al is a very good doctor. One Symtom of FM is that the individual will tend to sink into depression like states, causing the FM to get worse. Dr. Al suggesting that you get a job or get a hobby is his odd way of saying the more you move the better you will be. I would recommend Dr. Al to anyone who is willing to work to improve their condition. If you are looking for the quick fix, this guy is not for you.
Gives odd suggestions to treat fibromyalgia. Lots of pain meds. Eases pain and stiffness but does not "cure" I know fibro is incurable but to tell people to get a job or go to school when they can barely take care of the house shows he does not listen.
