Ratings for Dr. Eric D. Marler
Excellent Doctor! However, whomever hires his staff doesn't want anyone that might be smarter than she is. Therefore, the staff is very poor. They obviously don't care, don't look you in the eye, slow to respond. Let the phone ring to answering machine 90% of the time. While the receptionist stares blankly at the computer screen as if she was busy, but it doesn't move, and sadly, neither does she. Doctor should clean out the entire staff, from TOP to bottom, and hire his own staff. KEEP FAMILY OUT OF ALL DOCTOR'S PRACTICES!
Dr. Marler's medical assistant didn't even know how to take blood pressure manually and the doctor couldn't find a cuff to do it himself. I have never been to an internist that doesn't have a blood pressure cuff in every room and at the nurse's station. Then he tried to charge me an office visit to get my blood pressue taken by his medical assistant who was using a machine. I can go to any drug store and use their machine for free. He also loves to recommend lots of expensive tests and jack up the bills. Why? He says, get this and that tested because your insurance will pay for it. Not because he thinks you need the test and can explain why. He just wants the money. Also, they let the phone ring off the hook.
The staff did not call to schedule a referral visit for me after two reminder phone calls from me. I never got the appt from them, had to make it myself. I sat and observed the office staff letting the phone go to answer repeatedly. Not happy with the front office.
Okay for routine illness' but don't ask the staff for anything out of the ordinary if they deign to act on your request at all they'll charge as much as $50 for a few copies and take two weeks and a couple of reminders to get it done. Dr. always has bad breath.
