I went to the office on N. Peters Rd. I have been several times and had no problems. I went for primary care. The office was full of people for pain pills but my problem was with his staff. Meredith and Mark. I called to have a prescription refilled and they rudely informed me that I hadn't been there in over a year, not true, and that the Dr. had never prescribed my prescription, which was at the pharmacy in Kroger, Farragut. I called several times to complain and spoke with Meredith who was quite rude and then to Mark, a nurse practioner, I believe.. He informed me the Dr. would have to refill my prescription, which is what I asked for in the first place. He was incredibly rude to me. How are they going to keep any patients with their terrible attitudes? Patients are why they have paychecks. They have forgotten this at TN River. It took the pharmacy 2 requests and me calling 4 times to get anything done. I will not be back.

I went to the N. Peters Rd. location of TN River Family Medicine to establish Dr. Hoyt as my new primary care physician. He cancelled two days before my appt. But on my 2nd appt. there was the most glaring example of medical incompetence and negligence I've ever seen, was that the triage nurse said, "you're on xxxx drug, right?" I said no. She said, "your record shows you were given a prescription for this drug on your last visit, and it was called in to your pharmacy." This was all news to me. As I waited well over 2 hours past my appt time on this 2nd visit, I was given plenty of time to consider this information and I got angry as I realized the level of sheer incompetence I was dealing with. I never even met the doctor. Also, I found the waiting room to be filthy - there was dirt, tiny paper scraps, and paper clips on the floor of the waiting room, dust on the furniture, a filthy fish tank, and I never saw anyone clean anything until they were trying to close for the day.
