Ratings for Dr. Deborah M. Pressman
I found her very sarcastic and rude. I came to her with complaints of difficulty swallowing and severe gastrointestinal pain. She told me that I was stressed out and should take up knitting to de-stress. Two weeks later I was admitted to the hospital where she is on-staff, for a severe gastrointestinal disorder. She never even followed-up.
Doctor Pressman was argumentative, arrogant and exceedingly sarcastic. Also, she did not know the very basics about Lyme Disease (readily accessible online). If she thinks that a patient is engaging in self-diagnosis, she becomes downright nasty. And clearly, if you aren't properly reverential, she'll punish you with commensurate nastiness.
Dr Pressman is the absolute best doctor I've ever had. She is compassionate, listens carefully, and is an outstanding diagnostician. She has accurately diagnosed several of my friends with serious conditions in the early stages. Her sarcasm might not be everyone's comfort zone, but she is concerned about her patients and takes the time needed with each one. Her abruptness usually is a response to not taking care of yourself the way she prescribed. But she cares and her patients love her.(I know because I have at least 7 friends who see her.)
