Ratings for Dr. David Smosarski
To everyone saying bad things about dr smaosarski u dont know what hes been through he recently lost his 20 year old daughter in a car accident and for anyone that lives in hamilton u would have seen the accident on the news so give him a break
He used to be a very caring doctor . But for the last 12 months , it changes to 180 degrees. He prefers to talk to his recorder & facing his computers rather than to you . Never made eye contact . Always rushing things , I waited an hour to see him and he only gives 10 to 15 min. Max. I'm lucky if I could even see him in person , he passed all the responsibilities to his students that are not helpful and knowledgeable either . I don't feel I can rely and trust him as my doctor again. His lack of caring & compassion to his patients are no longer a quality of a good doctor. Patients deserves better.
Oh goodness where to begin. Staff is rude. Can never book an appointment, and when we do it's always 2-3 months later. Always has students instead of doing the work himself(I understand they need to learn somewhere, but it's a new one it appears every month) He never takes you seriously, always assumes it's to a existing illness. Or will give you pills to try, and follow up with it. He talks into his device and cuts you off mid sentence so he can talk into this thing instead of writing/ typing it himself. Yes technology has advanced but should not be to the point you ignore your patients. He is terrible at faxing back to the pharmacy for refills on prescriptions. He recently has been forgetting to do things.. such as referrals to other specialists, bloodwork forms etc.. and finds it is in fact in his previous notes when I go for a follow ups! As a doctor you would expect more, but you will not find that here! We have recently changed doctors due to the lack of patient care. So unacceptable.
Can never get an appointment when needed we have waited over an hour past apt time to get in not deal with Dr.Smosarski for more then 15 mins the staff is terrible he is very good at pretending he cares but seems very clueless and concerned about other things instead of taking care of his patients I also will be looking for a more sincere Dr also then a Dr who just says try these pills come back in a month
Awful I put myself in hospital three times under his care he talks to his tape recorder more than u on your visit and his only true concerns are pee test I have not seen him for three months and still gives the med from then he has done nothing for my kidney problem nothing for my blackouts or high fevers or heart valve replacement all these problems still need to be dealt with so if you want nothing done go to him if you are in real distress run find a real doctor but now we're do I go and who I were there is none
So as of June 2016 the staff are better in the new office .The timing is still awful I never get in at the actual appointment time usually is 40 min wait .Dr smosarski is spending to much time trying to look efficient and not enough time actually being efficient also its absolutely insane I can't get an appointment when I need one sometimes I have an issue I need delt with that week not in 4 weeks so frustrated I used to recommend him now I'm ready to find a more caring Dr
My father was taking 80mg of oxy a day prescribed by this man when he closed his practice in haldimand and left him high and dry. He went into withdraws and long story short kicked the pills. Dad went back to Dr smos when he reopened in Hamilton, now he is back on the oxy. Thanks alot doc
Honestly, I am so ashamed, and frustrated with this office. Initially I found that his practice worked well, his staff were even pleasant. Now, he ( or they, or whoever) are terrible with follow up, filling scripts, even prescribing the right medication. I could go on, and on... Dr. Smosarski is a kind soul, but his practice is overwhelmed by too many clients, and a lack of priorities. Also, his receptionists are rude, and have terrible bedside manners. The only person there that I think actually cares is the nurse he works closely with. I would not recommend this office .
Dr Smosarski is a great physician and a great person. I am counting my blessings to be under his care.I have very serious health problem and he is the one who " keeps me going " and gives me energy to look for better future...He takes time to explain my symptoms and how my medications will work, he takes time to talk to my pharmacist and consult any new medication as well ... Ladies at the front desk are also very friendly, helpful and understanding. Thank you Dr. Smosarski and staff. ..and by the way - to those unhappy patients - change the doctor !!! to one who will listen to your winning, you life stories and endless complaining - don't waste GOOD DOCTOR TIME !!
