One of the most painless trips in this field I've ever had; yes, he's been doing it a very, very long time; hence he knows his boundaries. It's always good to meet a man who can actually joke about his work while he's doing a rectal exam.

Dr. Landers is an average physician in his field. He has been doing gastroenterology for quite some time, and according to his nurse is nearing retirement. I believe, as a result he is not that up to date regarding treatments. For example, while suffering from ulcerative colitis, he only prescribed azulfadine and/or enemas and suppositories. However, while trying to get pregnant he took me off azulfadine (not good for sperm production) and never suggested another 5-ASA med like Asacol (which does not have the side effect of azulfadine). Additionally, he did not attempt to diagnose or treat possible bacterial overgrowth - which was my problem several times. I always had a good experience with his procedures, however (multiple fex sigs). A good doctor, but not the most knowledgeable in his field.
