Ratings for Dr. David Hiltz
Husband waited for 2 years for his referral to a specialist and when I called the specialist, the referral had never been sent, despite my repeated calls to receptionist to find out what was going on and each time she insisted that everything was going along nicely and he would just have to wait. Went in on a Friday with a bladder infection from a hot tub and instead of giving me antibiotics, he told me I would have to wait until the following week until the lab results came in. When I asked what was I to do in the meantime, he told me that I could go shopping if I liked. Quickly found a new Doctor after that. He has done the medical profession a favor by retiring and taking his nasty receptionist with him
I have been a patient of Dr. Hilts for over 25 years .I have always been able to book an appointment in a timely fashion and have never waited more than 15 minutes upon arrival. Pam, like Dr. Hilts has always been courteous, respectful, helpful and professional. Dr.Hiltz has often referred me to other specialists and the wait times are at the specialist end not Dr. Hiltz. Thank you ever so much for your help and guidance in keeping this 70 year old body in good health. I wish you all the very best in your retirement. Wayne Milner
Well, he is not my doctor but he is my friends doctor. She is in a wheelchair & she has been asking him for over 2 month to geta prescription for her incontinent supplies & he has not done this yet. Also, he wants to charge her $ 1,000.00 to fill out a medical form. I told her she should call the College of Physician and make a complaint. I sure would. No empathy whatsoever for his clients. Hope he retires and soon. What a waste of taxpayers money.
His information is out of date and he only gives you half the help he has "referred" my children to two specialist and have yet to get a call one being almost 3 years of waiting now and when j call to see they say well if we said we sent it then we sent it I was concerned about my newborn and made a joke about it and laughed at the fact that I had ppd I can not wait Tim he retires and hopes the next dr is better
Trying to reach his office by phone should be your first warning. His receptionist (don't flatter her by thinking she is a "nurse" with any training) ignores the phones, and puts the answering machine on all day long while she sits there listening to Michael Buble. She runs the office like a military prison camp, everything is her way or the highway. Take her demeanor as forewarning of what you'll get if she ever chooses to allow you to see the doctor. His goofy arrogance and general lack of knowledge and follow up could be your undoing. 2 plus years of misdiagnoses, 2 botched operations (not his fault) but I'm sicker than I was before all this and he has no reasonable suggestions for getting to the root of the problem. Find yourself another doctor, any doctor fast if you care about your health. I did and so did my family members, the ones that didn't die on his watch at least.
Hill killed my mother with indifference. He just wants to fir fast answers. Kept ignoring her that a growth on her neck was serious. He ignored it. Months later cancer from the growth spread through her body and she died within months. He's an old dinosaur with no empathy or sense of responsibility. Retire you old fool before you murder others.
Dr. Hiltz has been my family Doctor for almost 40 years. He and Pam, his Nurse are wonderful. He is semi-retired for those that think he has a full office practice or doesn't care. Shame on you that comment in a negative fashion. I raised two wonderful children with his help and he looks after my needs professionally and with concern and compassion and a bit of needed humor. As for Pam, try looking after an office full of patients, walk-ins and a constant phone barrage during morning office hours. It's a feat in its self. I am often on hold as well, but when I call, she not only knows my voice, she is kind and very organized. She must shift through serious needs versus those that can wait a bit longer. Don't forget he has hospital rounds as well... I know as he saw me every day in hospital for 4 months. Just try to find a Doctor and Nurse to replace this practice. I dread the day he finally retires. My name is Barbara MacKenzie.
