This doctor is the head of radiation oncology, a much esteemed position. However, I found him to be exceedingly sloppy and unethical. The particle accelerator that runs the proton facility is literally half of a century old, and is not well-maintained. To be specific, it repeatedly broke down while cancer patients were in it. None-the-less, this doctor continues to put patients at risk. I am holding my tongue for fear of libel, but I urge you to think very carefully before sending a loved one into the proton center at MGH. There are other institutions in the US with newer equipment.
