Ratings for Dr. Verna A. Thornton
Can't speak on Dr. Thorton because I didn't see her since I had to cancel my appointment. I did receive a bill for a $25 no show fee. I called and cancelled the day before and Melanie stated that they never received a call from me. I called to speak to the practice manager and I was told that they dont have one at the office. Apparently Melanie handles it all. No wonder she missed my voicemail. Asked to speak to Dr. Thorton since she is the buisness owner and was told she doesnt talk with patients. Terrible customer service over all.
I absolutely love Dr. Thornton and her staff. I have had many gynecologists here in Fayette County and also in Fulton County. She is the best, by far. She is genuine and real with her patients. I feel like she spends a lot of time talking with every single patient and meeting with them after exams in her office makes me feel like she is very thorough and caring. I have never once thought she was lacking of compassion. I think her bedside manner is very pleasant and I do not understand why anyone would think other wise. I recommend Dr. Thornton to all my friends and family and I will continue to do so because, in my opinion, she is the best OB/GYN in the Metro area.
I absolutely love Dr. Thornton and her staff. I've only been her patient since May 2013. I was at P'tree City OB/GYN for years and had several issues and was treated as if I were just another person and they never really cared about my health but just issued prescriptions. Dr. Thornton was very attentive to my problems and helped to resolve my health issues. She performed my surgery at the end of May and I feel so much better. She has been available each time I've contacted the office and has been extremely helpful in my recovery. I would highly recommend her as a physician and will continue to be a dedicated patient.
when you have to call in and ask them a favor like change your meds or if you need them to contact your ins for something, it seems you are putting them out. to remind you of the app they contact the pharmacy and not you and stop your meds. and because you didnt know you had to see them you left without meds until you make the appt.
I would like the opportunity to respond to the comment offered by the patient with respect to her rectocele repair. The fact of the matter is that the patient was evaluated postoperatively by myself and another physician and was found to have MINIMAL residual rectocele present. Allow me to explain it in layman's terms: Would one expect to have ABSOLUTELY NO WRINKLES after a face lift? Of course not! This patient has ABSOLUTELY no legal case, and one has NEVER been filed. She has used the same "I don't want to pay you" tactics with another local gastroenterologist. Furthermore, she stalked and verbally attacked me in a local grocery store. A Peachtree City police report is on file attesting to this event. She has also received a letter from my attorney requesting that she cease any further harassment of me- including internet entries. Please also note that the entry placed stating that I have an unprofessional bedside manner was also placed by her through another email address.
