Ratings for Dr. Suzan Awadde Alla Ghattas
Dr. Ghattas is knowledgeable, thorough, and conscientious. She's right at the top among "good doctors". She will not leave any stone un-turned when dealing with a medical concern. Yes, wait time is long and could improve with a reorganization of patient booking etc.. But the unfavorable wait time is also an indication of the time she takes with each patient -- listening, examining, diagnosing, requesting referrals. Thank you, Dr. Ghattas for doing your job well regardless of the harsh criticism.
Dr. Ghattas is very caring, helpful and knowledgeable. She does not rush. The downside is longer wait time. She is the only doctor I came to trust in GTA. Even after seeing a walk-in or urgent care doctor(I had wrong diagnosis at walk-in doctors many times), I will go to consult Dr. Ghattas.
Dr. Ghattas is extremely rude and talks to you like you're incompetent. She is very rushed and does not explain anything or provide any guidance or recommendations and literally says "I don't know". The wait time is unacceptable and she lacks basic people skills and empathy. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I don't understand how anyone, especially a doctor, can be this terrible at their job.
HER RECEPTIONIST IS THE WORST!!! She never has an answer for anything, she is completely clueless and says "I DO NOT KNOW". Not only that I waited almost 4 hours to get a physical done which is unacceptable, and if you ask the receptionist she keeps saying she's coming. Honestly just horrible service.
She is an excellent doctor.Dr. Ghattas is better than most doctors I have seen these past few years.Me and my family are with her for past 5 years and she is simply the best.Very good doctor. She takes the time to explain you everything. That's why the waiting time people complain about.Because the same time she takes with you, she takes it with everybody else.
Always late! Never on time! Even with an appointment she is always behind at least an hour. Have to take at least half day of work to see her because you wait so long. Always have to follow up for results of lab and blood work, they rarely call you even if doc needs to see you. You have to take it in your own hands and constantly follow up.
I have been a patient there over 10 years. At the beginning of her practice it was very easy to meet with Dr. Ghattas within an hour. Now even with an appointment you won't see her before two hours. I have actually timed it even when you are put into a waiting room its at least 30 mins before she comes in. Unfortunately that is a big problem especially when her hours are such that it's only one day a week she works late. Now to see the Dr. it has to be by appointment only even if it's urgent and most times you can't see her that week but maybe the next week or two weeks after that. I think Dr. Ghattas needs to have her office open all week to accommodate all patients and get another doctor so that at least if it's urgent you can come in and know that you have a doctor who will have your medical history available. Dr. Ghattas is an excellent doctor and she has taken good care of my family and this is the only reason why I have not moved because she is a caring and understanding doctor.
I have been seeing Dr Ghattas for almost 10 years. She is an amazing doctor, her diagnoses are pretty accurate, knowledgeable, good listener and very patient with all the patients. However that's also a drawback. Because she takes so much time with each patient and partly the staff overbooking, it takes a great amount of time to actually get ur turn. Even with an appointment I have waited up to an hour. Give yourself 2-3 hours if walking in. Often i find myself going to a walk in near by just to avoid waiting at her clinic. I dont know why they don't do anything about this. I havent seen such long wait at any other place, appointment or not. She is an excellent doctor otherwise.
