Ratings for Dr. Harry Collins
Dr Collins NEVER on time. I have gone for years. No matter when I go there is an "emergency" that keeps me waiting at least 30 minutes past my appointment time. He likes to ramble on about history. I think this is why he always behind schedule-he holds you captive while he talks of the civil war. Very nice guy, but needs to change how he runs the office. He is good with referrals, if you ask while you are with him. If it has to go by his receptionist, diana, its another story. My wife needed a referral for a mammogram and was refused, saying the doctor had to see her first. She has an oncologist but insurance prevents us getting referrals from specialists. She had to get a "physical", wait 45 minutes, pay $10, leave work-just to get a referral. He is semi retired-works with other doctors in the office but you can only see him and he is rarely there. Lunch closes from 12-2 everyday. Urgent appointments are impossible to get. good about giving meds but wont call them in.
Dr. Collins is now semi retired and on the board at a hospice. It is very hard to get an appointment with him. If you let him, he will talk for an hour about history, which explains why you always get into your appointment very late. I have been going for years and never get in even close to my assigned time. He is very knowledgeable about prescriptions and gives referals. Unfortunately, Diana, the reception has an attitude and can make it difficult to get referals. It isnt her place to police, if the doctor wants me to have one, why should she care? Beveryly is relatively new, and Meena is helpful and sweet.
