Ratings for Dr. Lesley A. Fein
I highly recommend Dr. Lesley Fein to anyone seeking a doctor of her specialty. Before my first visit with her, she had me come in to her office to have bloodwork taken. Then on my first visit to Dr. Fein, she meticulously poured through my previous 4 yrs of medical records asking detailed questions as she went along. She then listened intently to my symptoms and my concerns and then answered any questions I had. She looked over my bloodwork, test by test, to start to put the pieces together to my complex case. She then examined me thoroughly to gather further information about me physically. She was able to diagnose me properly and I immediately began treatment. I have been under her care since and feel very privileged to be her patient. Dr. Fein's office staff is very pleasant and helpful. David is so caring and compassionate. Words can't express how much his compassion means to me. He is excellent at his job and is an integral member of the staff. He is very helpful in refilling prescriptions for me. He is very personable and kind. He is also very knowledgeable about my condition and takes the time to answer any questions I have. He makes me feel at ease in the office. Marisol and Regina at the front desk go above and beyond to manage my receipts, appointments, billing, and insurance paperwork for me. They alway work with me to book appointments and to reschedule. They are very accommodating, very efficient and always helpful. Shonda, the phlebotomist, is amazing. My trips into her office are pain free and enjoyable. She is very pleasant, easy to talk to and very personable. She is so easy going and confident in her job. She makes me feel at ease even though I am not fond of needles or blood! Dr. Fein reaches out to me in between appointments should anything new arise regarding bloodwork results, medication changes, etc. The office has a great system of booking appointments and staying on schedule. I have never had to wait for my appointments and have always been seen on time. Dr. Fein is a very kind and compassionate doctor. She listens to me and takes it all in. She is like a detective, putting the pieces together, each time I see her. She is very sweet to talk to and I respect her so much. She is a doctor who cares about her patients and cares about restoring their health. She is constantly educating herself on the latest treatments in her field and she educates me. She speaks to me in a manner a layperson can understand. She will even draw diagrams and pictures to help me to understand exactly what is going on in my body. She makes me feel comfortable knowing she always listens to me and doesn't dismiss anything I have to say to her. Going to see her is very uplifting for my spirit. I always leave her office feeling better. As I said before, I truly feel it is a privilege to be Dr. Fein's patient. I recommend her highly.
Dr. Lesley Fein is a gift! My husband had chronic lyme disease and after doctor after doctor ignored his symptoms I thought I was going crazy. With my husband showing bells palsy, ankles swollen, finger twitching and he could no longer drive. Finally a diagnosis and with Dr. Fein's and her staff's care he came back to life! She has and continues to fight for her patients!! Thank God for Dr Fein and staff!!!
I cannot understand why some people have put up negative comments about the doctor or the staff! If it wasn't for Dr. Fein and the staff I honestly don't think I would be alive. Yes, your wait time can occasionally be a while, but both the doctor and the staff are literally running around trying to do their best as you would not believe how many "fires they have to put out daily. Us Lymes patients can literally walk in feeling ok then suddenly need immediate assistance. And yes, the therapy, etc. is expensive. However, Dr. Fein's office has worked with me when I am short on funds. And I know other patients that have been cooperated with too. You have to be dedicated to keeping a journal checklist to aide in your progress. If you don't, don't, you are shortchanging yourself, no one else. I can't understand why anyone would say the receptionist is rude. She is very efficient and a lovely person. I have a funny feeling people that give a negative rating to this office have over-inflated egos and are self-indulgent.
Dr Fein is very knowledgeable about Lyme and its co-infections. She knows her antibiotics but not much about other "natural" holistic remedies which I wanted to use along with the antibiotics. Her receptionist is horribly rude. I can't imagine why the doc puts up with her! She's just miserable!
Dr. Fein saved my life. None of the other doctors would touch me, it was to the point I couldn't drive, take care of my kids, carry by purse or a cup of water. Well known other doctors (LLMD ones) knew it was later stage and barely looked at me or ran appropriate tests. Time and time again Dr. Fein has known what to do, try. She has in depth experience, seen most symptons, knows later stage and co-infections from other markers, knows what labs to use (not just one), looks at things from other perspectives as well. My kids now go to her, we've recommended around 40 plus people to her. She truly cares and will do what is needed for the patient. Not base it on the politics. She is the best doctor. I highly recommend her. She cares, she expects you to take care of your health as well, understand and keep tabs on yourself. Lyme is complex, its not just one bacteria infection, its multiple, plus triggers so many other things.
I usually have to wait 30-40 minutes at an appointment but it is so worth it because she spends as much time as possible with patients. Her staff are very nice and always make sure I feel comfortable, especially when I recieve IV. Dr. Fein is one of the smartest people I've ever met and is treating me for Lyme disease.
She saved my life. Been seeing her for 10 years, now my children see her. After seeing 20 doctors, testing, testing, unable to care for myself or my kids. She was the only one willing to help me. I did go to several other lyme specialists, but they were afraid to touch me (even those on the boards), because I was so far along. I'm thankful for her dedication, knowledge and willingness to do what is right for the patient.
Her front desk Marisol is horrible. I got a panic attack from her. I am working on getting my balance due to the dr. No one should be stressed and put into hospital with lyme because of the staff. I am in severe anxiety and can not sleep because of this it has made the lyme worse. Not the lyme it self but how they are not understanding. first of all she is very expensive I do not mean 400 dollars expensive I mean almost 20,000 dollars expensive for one year. So you have to be rich. Second, i am understanding my self and told the doctor and the staff please give me some time to get the money I will and in the past I have paid my balances. Just horrible, people are inviting more sickness from this negative front desk marisol.
Dr Fein is so much more than an LLMD. Her devotion to curing chronic illness is amazing. When I first began treatment with her, I could not fill out a form , remember what I did and lived a life of horrible pain and thought I would surely die. She is not at all interested in baby sitting and will write out directions if you need her to. She reminds me of Dr House. She found other illnesses and was able to give me directions on what to eliminate from my diet, what to add wholistically and does not profit off of herbals or other things like some of the other LLMDs I have read about. She is there to treat you and knows what she is doing. If you are someone who refuses to follow directions and are never compliant with your treatment plan, she will stop treating you because, face it, there are too many very sick people out there waiting to receive treatment. Those who are leaving mean spirited personal attacks must be either unwilling or for whatever reason, unable to follow directions. I am thankful to have my life back and because I followed her advice, managed to loose 100 lbs - no sugar and no gluten saved my life. Thank you Dr Fein, David and all of the staff, for giving me my life back.
Dr Fein is by far the most ignorant health "professional" I have ever had the misfortune of seeing. After seeing her for a year, all she did was prescribe IV rocephin and a picc line (which I had done with my previous LLMD already) and told me to go figure out how to get a nurse and find a pharmacy that would actually fill that script, and her staff refused to help. Since a patient cannot set up such things on their own and I tried to explain that to her receptionist I was called stupid and then totally ignored. She has called me a liar for telling her that her staff wouldn't help me. I paid for three (very expensive) office visits to get test results and when I showed up she didn't have them. When I finally got them myself she couldn't interpret the results. She always seems unprepared for appointments, spending over half your scheduled time reading her past notes and will tell you to "shut up" while she is reading. Then, when the appointment runs over time she charges you in 10 min incriminates! After waiting three hours for my appointment that day, I was then charged an additional $150 on top of her usual $600 fee! Since her staff refused to help me, I found a new doctor that actually cares. After not filling my prescriptions and missing an appointment I didn't even so much as get a phone call- I don't understand how anyone could feel like she actually cares. All she cares about is my wallet.
