In my opinion this doctor too skimpy with tests & treatment. I had a knee injury & he made me take advil for 5 weeks before referring me for an MRI showing that I needed surgery. And after my physical two weeks ago he said my cholesterol was high & my meds should be doubled. I said it was probably bc I had run out prior to the test & he agreed to the normal amount. Then I realized it is the holidays & I will be eating at friends' houses who do not serve what I eat- they will be preparing rich foods. I called &said you are right, I need more. His office refused & said the meds are not to eat all the rich food I want! I had the same issue with him when I went to Cancun & asked for an increase in my aciphex. He said watch my diet, as if I could avoid mexican/overseas cuisine in an all inclusive resort. I am trim & work out but have family history of high cholesterol and other gastro disorders. I think he is wrong for you if you need close monitoring, plus he seems unfairly judgmental.

Very accessible and knowledgeable. This practice is limited in order to provide top notch service to all patients.

I have been Dr. Newberger's patient for 15 years, and his emphasis on prevention has helped me stay in excellent health. I have asked him for referrals to several specialists and have been happy with all of them. He is knowledgeable and caring. He has always responded to my immediate concerns, and when I experienced the sudden onset of an illness he drove me to the ER so that I could receive an MRI promptly. I have followed all of his recommendations and will continue to do so. He's an excellent doctor.

I went in with unspecific symptoms (fever, coughing, fatigue). He sent me home and told me to call back in four days if symptoms persist.Five hours later, at my lady's insistence I went to the ER and they diagnosed me with periocarditis. If I had gone home and waited, as the doctor suggested, My condition could have been much worse.
