Ratings for Dr. Amish R. Patel
So, I was going to dr. Patels office for pain and got kicked out because I couldn't make it to get a pill count due to being at work. Never had any problems until now. Now I have to look into getting another pain doc cause these people want to be ignorant. I've been working 7 days a week since before Christmas and I told the doc that. They gave me a couple of hours and since I couldn't make it to a WalMart before they close to get the pill count, they kicked me out. Would have been different had I been givin more time. I can't just leave work all of a sudden. They didn't want to hear me out or anything.
The best doctor around. I was a former heroine addict that needed help. I was a product of pill mills in Ohio and lost everything. I cleaned up but had legitimate issue with back pain and leg pain. Doctor patel listens and proceeded with a plan that sounded promising. Eight months later I am pain free. I have a job doing manual work. No pain. I am so grateful. If you have a problem he will not judge.
I'm not sure how the Dr. is, but I have been sent for a bill and I have never been to the office. I contacted the hospital and they contacted the Drs office. They said they would contact me and they never did. I am still receiving bills for appointments I never made.
I absolutely love Dr. Patel! He was able to fix a back problem that I have been SUFFERING from for over 11 years! I have seen so many doctors regarding pain issues. I saw so many who couldn't help that my medical records made it look like I was doctor shopping and therefore wasn't taken seriously. You could tell that some of the doctors were barely listening because they thought all I wanted was opiates. Some wouldn't even look at my numerous scans, which of course lead to seeing a new doctor and another and another. I eventually turned to obtaining pain medication illegally and then addiction. On my first visit with Doctor Patel he listened without interrupting me. I told him of my opiate use and made it clear I was not interested in obtaining any narcotics. I wanted a cure not bandaides! Even after telling him I went as far as using heroin to ease the pain he treated me well and not a junkie! He was so completely understanding. He came up with a treatment plan which included burning the nerves that were causing most of my pain. Since I suffer from multiple back problems we still have a bit more work to do but so far I am extremely happy with my experience. I am confident he will be able help me with the rest of my pain issues. Now after noting the important issues I have to add that he is extremely easy on the eyes;) I would and will recommend him to anyone with pain issues!
Dr. Patel is a great physician. He has worked with me for 8 years since seriously injuring my back in athletics in high school. He has done everything in his power to post pone surgery for me so I can get through medical school before a fusion. I have even followed him all the way from Toledo and drive over 2 hours for his treatment. The only time there is ever an issue with dismissal from his office is when there is an obvious misuse and abuse of pain medications. Great doctor that I would recommend to anyone with severe back and nerve pain!
I was excused from his office after telling him about my pain meds being stolen. He wrote me for my next prescription to be filled on 2/2/16 but told me if I came back with a police report he could help me out one time only. I did this and when I returned they wanted to give me a urine test which was okay with me. My visit that I had in the morning the nurse asked when I had taken one last and I told her I had found 1 in my bag and took it the night before. The nasty nurse/manager asked me if I had anything and I told her the same thing from the morning visit. They said I was fishy so they said he wasn't going to see me anymore. After being honest with everyone to be treated like a criminal is very distasteful. I wanted her to show me my office notes forthe day and she wouldn't. just showing how she lied to my doctor. Not a very trustworthy place. After all he told me to do just to end it like that. I have a really bad arm and hand he was going to try and fix and he won't even do that now. I'm at a total loss for words right now. I didn't have my meds or money stolen on purpose like they suggest. I work 2 full time jobs to try and do my best to make ends meet.
I was discontinued as a patient for getting my tramadol filled after I told them I got it and nothing was ever said about not getting it filled. Very unprofessional. I would not send my dog to his office .
