This doctor was one of the worst doctors my mother and I have ever come across. He is very impatient. When you try to speak with him, he will either interrupt halfway through your sentence or he will hum in a way that denotes that he is not listening to you. I accompanied my mother to see Dr. Benaim and was witness to his hi frankness and lack of attention. He would ask a question once, forget the answer, and ask the same question again a few minutes later. Moreover, when my mother gave him a urine sample, he handled it with his bare hands and proceeded to touch his keyboard, his pen, and even his face without washing. This brought into question just how aware he is of his patients as well as himself. He is hardly helpful. Whenever my mother would ask a question, he would either not answer or he would give a very dissatisfying and callous answer. Most disconcerting, however, was the way the staff at Medicentre Lasalle acted towards my mother. She is disabled and has a lot of trouble walking from one place to the other. When I left her briefly in the waiting room to get a quick breakfast, apparently her number was called in French, a language she has trouble understanding. By the second time it was called, she finally understood and rose to get to the desk, only for the receptionist there reprimand her, saying that she "called her twice". As we were leaving, we asked for a bag to carry the urine sample (we had to take it to the local hospital for further testing) and one of the ladies at the desk could not give us one. So what exactly do they use to carry around samples? Their bare hands, like the doctor? If we can help it, we will not be returning to this clinic. The people were rude, insensitive, and uninviting. The doctor himself was inattentive and had poor manners for a person of his profession. Highly recommend that you avoid this place and spare yourself the annoyance.
Ce médecin n'est pas à l'écoute . il nous fait venir à son bureau pour nous donner un résultat d'une radiographie qui était normale. Pourquoi faire déplacé les gens au lieu de téléphoner. When you get there, the secretary is on the phone all the time (not patients, gossiping with people she knows) and the people (who are in pain or ill!) have to wait to just give their medicare card until she's done! Then you have to wait at least an hour even if you arrive a few minutes early, under the pretense that it can take longer for the previous patients. Even if you arrive when it opens. And you're in pain or ill. And when you FINALLY go in, he thinks he knows everything and when I tell and even show him my symptoms of what I know I have, he just acts superior and says I don't have that. I HAD AN INNER INFECTION THAT COULD KILL ME AND HE DENIED IT! So now if I have an emergency, I just go to the emergency one storey below, where the secretary there does her job instead of gossippng on the phone, it takes at most five minutes and that's WITHOUT an appointment! And her and Dr. Mazzarelli are kind and helpful and quick. Hate leaving bad reviews but people need to know to avoid him until he learns from this and becomes kind and helpful and gets the heck off his high horse! Sorry, Dr. Benaim. I'd rather die than waste my time on him again until further notice. Because if I do, I will die.
Le meilleur médecin à Montreàl! Dr Benhaim est très ponctuel (à partir de 7:00) et vachement sympa. Il prend le temps de bien informer ses patients. Ma fille n'a plus peur d'aller au docteur! He is a very considerate Dr, even took time to call me at work after blood tests results arrived and refer me to speciallist for sjogreen . I've also consulted him several times at the clinic and he has always taken time to listen, gather information and propose the best treatment. He sends you for tests, exams by other professionals to have the best picture of our health consition and what we need.
