The only thing I disagree with is that I explained that solid foods get stuck in my throat, so he decided to order a barium swallow test, I asked if it would contain some sort of solid food & he said no, it’s more of a liquid, I responded that I have no problem swallowing liquids, only solid foods, he said that we can do that at a later date if necessary, I said why would I have to do this twice & that I would rather do something with solid substance & he disagreed. At that point I feel he wasn’t listening to my concerns. He said he will call me when the results came in. So I had the barium swallow done very early on a Thursday morning, the doctor who was present during the test state he would have the result sent to Dr Chitkara later that evening or first thing Friday morning.\r\n Well, I did not hear from Dr Chitkara, so on the 5-7 day I called his office, they said they will call me back after they speak to him. Hours later his secretary called on said that I should see a Gastroenterologist. I was extremely disappointed that I wasn’t given the time or respect to call me himself so I could have the opportunity to ask questions & also to find out what the results were. His secretary said that he was too busy to call & talk to me.\r\n Being in the medical field myself for many years, I would never treat or dismiss a patients concerns & also not follow through & having a patient wait 5 plus days for results that were sent within 48 hours & not call even though he said he would.
