Ratings for Dr. Dimitri A. Yanez
I was leary about making an appointment with a male doctor at first. Dr. Yanez made me feel extremely comfortable. He was very professional and very friendly. I will continue seeing him and highly recommend him. I've read a lot of these bad reviews of him and find them very hard to believe. I had an excellent experience. ☆☆☆☆☆
After wasting half my day in the waiting room, I had a visit that made me find this site to express my extreme displeasure. He would ignore the answers to my questions on the forms and look incredulous when I have answers to his questions verbally, as if he didn't think I was telling him the truth. He forgot what medication he had prescribed to me and seemed to not believe me when I told him it was him. He harped numerous times on how I should have stomach staple surgery even though I expressed numerous times that I had no desire to even think about it. He practically told me I needed to go to Mexico to have this done. The word 'Tijuana' actually came out of his mouth. He orders unnecessary procedures and blood work that cost money I don't have. I've been to him twice and both times have driven home crying afterwords because of how uncomfortable I was. I will not be returning. Ever.
I used this doctor for severe endometriosis, and pain. He did a complete hysterectomy and said he did not find any endometriosis. But lots of scar tissue. I asked him, if you didn't find any, why did u do the hysterectomy then? He said, well we don't know what was wrong, it could have been something else. Just because I didn't find anything wrong, doesn't mean there wasn't. I asked him, how do you know the difference between scar tissue and regular tissue, because they look similar, I decided to ask, he told me, "Because I am a doctor, and I know". Let me tell you, I am unable to have "relations" with my husband now because it hurts so badly now. I have to wait till I can afford another doctor to find out what he messed up inside of me. DO NOT USE HIM! He is nice, but he does not know what he is doing for endometriosis.
He saw me for endometriosis and was honest about not being knowledgeable on the subject. His partner is the one to see. She is compassionate and gave me options. He told me that his patients have committed suicide and have had abortions because of severe pain. He Will not offer pain meds, Dr. Duplanche, his partner Will give tramadol while setting up your appt for surgery.
Brought both my children into the world what can I say. But wouldn't keep me informed as to why certain procedures were needed etc. Office visits were like a cattle call. Didn't take time to answer and inform. very quick to give a perscription. No help at all w/ my increasing pain w/ my periods after my last child/ I was 37. Very disatisfied w/ him overall.
