Ratings for Dr. John A. Nelson
As a Doctor, I have no complaints with Dr. Nelson. However, it is most frustrating to try to get an appointment. They only answer the phone 4 days a week for a few hours in the morning and a few in the afternoon. Even during these hours, it is very difficult to get through. The message says that the receptionist is with a patient or away from her desk and to call back. Messages cannot be left. It is most frustrating! Getting an appointment can occupy all my spare minutes and sometimes it can take weeks of calling,, ,
I am extremely upset with the care that my father received from Dr. Nelson. He prescribed him two blood pressure medications that were not to be given together and caused leg spasms. It wasn’t until he went to get his prescriptions filled that the pharmacist noticed the error of Dr. Nelson’s, stating nobody should ever be taking these medications in combination. What I am most upset with is the lack of care he has provided my father. My father’s father died at the age of 44 from a massive heart attack. Upon telling Dr.Nelson this, he did not suggest or offer my dad any additional testing based on his family history. And of course my father should have asked for help, but we often trust our doctors to know what is best for us and provide this for us and Dr.Nelson seemed to show no interest in provided my father the care he needed. My father passed away recently at the age of 65 from a massive heart attack and I partly put the blame on Dr.Nelson because it could have been prevented by better care from a doctor who was competent and showed interest in providing quality care for people.
Dr Nelson is always in a hurry and here's the problem the front girl is rude annoying and always away from the desk or on her cell phone & does he know we can here him talking when he's at that table to other staff and the nurse has got to be ready to move on in life she's got to be ready for retirement
Hi and his staff are not good !!! Hi discharge me becouse i did use a walk in clinic , hi need a doctor to see if hi is ok . Hi is all obout money ,and more money . Hi like to be a bilioner , i think hi is not good ,as a doctor and as a person .
Been Calling the office to book an appointment for over two hours now. Keep getting a message that the receptionist is away from her desk ( who btw is the rudest receptionist I have ever seen and I can't believe she is still working here) and to keep calling back and not to leave a message. Just called again and a new message states that the Office is now closed and won't open again until next Monday. What is the point of having a doctor if you can never even get an appointment. I have been told that if I use a walk in clinic Dr Nelson can discharge me as a patient but I have no choice.
Dr. Nelson use to be a great doctor. For the last 3 years or so his care and compassion doesn't seem to be there any more. He clearly is in it for the money. He doesn't remember you from one visit to the next, doesn't write what you discuss in your chart, and always rushing you out the door. Oh yeah, lets not forget his rants about the government and how he will loose his license if he treats your symptoms. To the person who made the comment about if your friendly they are friendly, I am guessing you are related to Dr. Nelson. I am extremely polite and respectful to all the staff and I don't always get the same response back. He is moody and your not always sure how he is going to react.
The reception is beyond rude. They are the most unprofessional staff i have ever seen. You can never get through on the phone and told messages are not to be left. Can't get in when you are sick . Whats the point? As an asthmatic I am in need of ventolin which he only gives me a prescription with no repeats so I have to come back every month as they will not call in scripts. Its all a money grab
