Ratings for Dr. Kathryn Ney
Dr. Ney saved my life back in 2001. I remained her patient for 13 years at which time my insurance changed and I had to leave her care. Very professional. Many have commented that she is a pill pusher. Well... She pushed the right meds for me and I am eternally grateful. She listens intently and offers good direction and advice. I will start seeing her again if insurance allows.
Staff - horrible! Absolute nightmare to deal with. There are a FEW that are helpful, but the chance of getting them is very slight. Dr. Ney was fantastic! She observed my behavior and body responses, which can seems stand-offish, but really needs to happen for a proper evaluation to occur. 2nd visit, she had it nailed, I have switched medications and feel 1,000 times better! She was the 5th doctor in our area, and I was actually referred by my current Dr. Appointments are very hard to come by, but to be able to find a doctor who actually knows what she is talking about a long with all of the possible medications, and can identify which one would be most helpful for you. For the comments about going to a family Dr and then a psychologist, that's an option, psychologist should always be seen in conjunction with a prescribing Dr. The issue with going to a family dr for that, 1 they are not as familiar with the medication, or possible other solutions. But if you are just having everyday problems as one person said, you probably don't need to see an expert in her field. The Co - pay problem is actual the companies policy and the not so friendly or helpful front desk clerks, and not her decision or policy.
