Ratings for Dr. Carl Fung
DR C. FUNG IS AN EXCELLENT ,FRIENDLY, CARING ,DOCTOR . .WHO IS ..COMMITTED TO HIS PATIENT'S WELFARE. HE IS ALWAYS READY TO REFER A PATIENT TO A SPECIALIST WHEN NECESSARY.....THE STAFF .....WORKS HARD TO ENSURE ALL PATIENTS ARE SEEN...WHEN URGENT NEEDS ARISE ...WITH NO ADVANCE APPOINTMENT. WE HOPE THIS WONDERFUL DOCTOR DOESN'T RETIRE FOR A LONG TIME..HE IS A REAL GEM.
I was a patient of Dr. Fungs for years and have found a new young grad who is up to date on medicine. Too many Rx's issued for any ailment. Receptionist is a joke. Stays on phone for personal calls while elderly patients are standing in front of her listening to her personal calls. Very hard to get through on the phones and you can see why. He needs to retire.
I have had this physician since I was a toddler and have experienced nothing but greatness from he and his staff! I was reading the comments listed here and was absolutely mortified at some of the things people were stating. #1.Name calling is so childish, grow up!! #2.This is a busy doctor's office. Dr. Fung has been around for along time. and since he is such an incredible doctor, he is in big demand from the people who reside in the Niagara region. With that being said, you people need to learn PATIENCE! You are not the only clients he sees, as well he and his staff do their best to ensure that everyone's needs are met. #3.This is rate your doctor not rate the receptionist. She is nothing but friendly to all the people who come and go and does her best to ensure that all patients are made to feel comfortable. She is polite and engages in conversation with clients as well makes them feel at home!!!! She is amazing at her job and should feel proud for the work she does everyday!
Lets get it right for all callers that hate calling: I've had an opportunity to see the office in action notes: 1- Here the Peak Time is 9am-12pm the office is very busy, calls are endless so hard to get through 2- Less Busy Time is 1pm-3pm, best to call to get get through on first ring, note lunch is 12pm-1pm 3- When a call comes in Receptionist may go to filingroom or backroom (doctor office?) to retrieve info caller is requesting ex: results of tests or other 4-Emergency visits are flagged ex: you get in ahead of lineup or send to ER Hospital Urgent Care and I believe walkins are fitted in if there is space 5-Deciding if to call: Peak Time or Less Busy Time... Can't answer for anyone reading this but if caller really needs to be heard not to hangup on first ring -- Walkins usually get in at some point... The Staff and the Doctor work great as a Team -- Yes some of you mention the Team is Family so you know that we are all part of that Family by being a Patient.
Dr Fung's secretary who is also his daughter is sometimes very rude to some patients and is more interested in socialising and having a good time in the office than doing her job. She hates answering the phone and is very incompetent as a dr's seccretary.Good thing she works for her dad who must be getting ready to retire because no other dr will put up with kind of a secretary.
Dr.F needs to retire soon. Office phone is constantly busy, and you could get put on hold for hours. He bartered with our care, saying: "if you make me sign this form, i won't make this referral". he refused to make referral for MRI, and won't make re-referral to a Dr. we've already seen, but over a year ago. St.Catharines has a serious lack of new & current Dr's and the "old boys" network needs to retire and let new Drs into the area.
