Ratings for Dr. Todd M. Kirchhoff
Dr. Kirchhoff is very arrogant. After my total thyroidectomy, he would only prescribe Levothyroxine, a synthetic T4 only medication. A person’s body needs T4 and T3 if they want to function properly and be able to have energy and any sort of metabolism. T4 only medications do NOT help a person who does not have a thyroid. As a doctor, he should know this. He ruined my life. I will never be the same.
I am a retired Hospital CEO having experienced countless physicians both professionally and as a patient. Dr. Todd Kirchoff exceeded my expectations. I had three prior surgeries for the same problem by other ENT physicians and my experience with Dr. Kirchoff was the best! Professionals refer to and work with respected professionals and this relates both to the RN in Dr. Kirchoff's office and to St. Elizabeth Hospital. My case was performed today on time and I needed no pain medication post-op. The hospital staff was professional, competent and caring. I was also impressed by the high level of technology of the equipment available.
I was in Dr. Kirchoff's office back in 2007. I would not recommend going to see him. His office was notified of my issue about 1.5 months before my appt. I waited this whole time, got a babysitter, only to find out while sitting in his office that he doesn't handle my sort of problem. I had to tell his nurse my issue and she said that Dr. Kirchhoff doesn't handle that. Then Dr. Kirchhoff comes in and asks me the problem (shouldn't he have already known?). I tell him. He tells me he doesn't handle that sort of issue. So just so I didn't feel empty handed, he sent me on my way with a prescription for Zyrtec. I had to explain my issue when I first made my appointment. So why couldn't they tell me at that point to see a different doctor. They wanted the money. They took my money and my insurance's money. For nothing. I wrote a complaint letter and received no response. Just more bills for my copay. Horrible experience. Horrible doctor. Horrible staff.
The appointment time was right on time. Dr. Kirchhoff was very delightful and a very friendly gentleman. He was very straight forward and easy to understand. He explainded everything about the condition, the treatment and the medication that was going to be used.
What a delight, a doctor that went the extra steps - listened to my symptoms, answered my questions, didn't seem rushed and diagnosed my problem as benign positional vertigo - requiring positional therapy, which was very effective clearing up my problem, I also learned what to do to prevent it from happening again. I would highly recommend this Doctor and his practice.
