I have a LONG history with depression and have been on so many meds. Dr. Smith had more knowledge with all the older types of meds as well as the newer ones. He ran a genetic test to see why my results were so atypical. We ended up using some older, unusual meds that made such a difference! Many of the younger docs I had seen didn't know anything about older drugs and kept trying whatever was newest or heavily advertised. Dr. Smith and his years of experience were life-savers for me!!

My experience with Dr. Smith was not awful, but it was not extremely helpful. Appointments are difficult, and I attribute that mostly to the terrible office staff. They are extremely unprofessional, rude, and honestly the reason I no longer see this doctor. Dr. Smith takes time to talk through your case with you but is truly looking for the right medication...that seemed to be the only goal, find the pill that works. Let me please reiterate, the aggravation of working with his office assistant is not worth your time or trouble. On more than five occassions she escalated our conversation to a strong disagreement over appointment times. It was like nothing I've ever experienced.

Gets bogged down with extraneous details and cannot view a patients whole mental health. Will NOT listen to any patient feedback. His mindset is created very rapidly and cannot be changed. Likes to prescribe new drugs without experimenting with other alternatives (I'm sure the drug rep has nothing to do with it).

DR SMITH IS A GREAT DOCTOR, HIS FRONT OFFICE LADY IS THE BEST, SHE IS SWEET, KIND AND SENCERLY CONCERNED ABOUT THE PATIENTS, HOWEVER THE OFFICE MANAGER, ROSA IS THE DEVIL HERSELF. SHE IS SO RUDE, AND DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE, SHE IS THERE FOR A PAYCHECK AND THATS IT.I REALLY THINK SHE NEEDS TO SEE A PSYCHIATRIST HERSELF.BUT DON'T LET HER STOP YOU FROM SEEING THIS DOCTOR, YOU HARDLY EVER SEE HER AND MOSTLY DEAL WITH THE FRONT LADY.
