I had an amazing experience with Dr Huq and his great staff. I recently had abdomnioplasty with umbilical hernia repair and am so pleased with my experience and results. Dr Huq is very knowledgeable, personable and explained the procedure in great detail. He also took the time to answer my questions. Also, my experience with his patient care specialist was outstanding. She was quick to respond to any questions I had while considering the surgery, preparing for surgery and post surgery. I would definitely recommend Dr Huq if you are in need of a plastic surgeon.
He was so personable. Made me feel very comfortable and was very good at distracting me from the surgery. His staff had such a great sense of humor and again kept my attention on the conversation as apposed to what was being done. They answered all of my questions and took the time to explain everything to me in terms that I would understand. I would definitely recommend this man and his team to anyone and everyone that asks. Thank you all!
Dr. Huq has very poor bedside manner and can be unprofessional. He failed to take our concerns seriously, was dismissive and condescending. At my child's initial appointment he spoke to my child under his breathe as we walked out of the office whispering to her. Then made a contradictory statement loud enough for her grandmother (who brought her to the appointment) to hear. Extremely unprofessional. This prompted me to make a second appointment. At this appointment I heard him talking about our situation very loudly (he wanted us to hear) with his staff in a very condescending way. I've dealt with Dr. Huq before for issues for myself as well for my child and was surprised at his behaviour. What was more shocking was that he had a nurse present (and that was fine with us) however he was attempting to show her how to deal with patients. He displayed a bedside manner that was condescending and had a sense of superiority which was inappropriate. For record the nurse was very professional and kind. She was new to the office and I actually felt bad for her. Please avoid this doctor if you can. There are others out there!
Dr. Huq is a truly miracle worker! I am a 50 year old woman with an "I" cup when I asked my family doctor for a referral to consult with Dr. Huq about having a breast reduction. During the consultation, Dr. Huq wwas very informative and took all the time I needed as he explained the procedure, including the risks and health benefits of smaller breasts. He made no promises but thought he could remove abut 1,000 mg from my breasts which he thought would put me somewhere around a "DDD" or "DD". He even thought he could make me "perky" . I decided to go ahead with the reduction. About 45 minutes before the surgery, he came by to measure and mark me. It was interesting to see him work through the challenge of ensuring my breasts would be symmetrical and look the very best after he was done. My one breast hung 2" lower than the other and were hanging to my naval before the reduction, but now they are symmetrical and perky to the point that I don't require a bra. I am thrilled with the results. Dr. Huq is truly an artist and genius at his craft! My only regret: that I didn't see Dr. Huq sooner.
After cutting the tendon in my thumb, I was sent to see Huq. Horrible bedside manner, chastised me for the time it took to drive there and how I inconvenienced him. Then argued with me over whether the anesthetic had taken effect ( it hadn't). Started to reattach the tendon but spotted a colleague in the hall, left in the middle of surgery to go out and grab him, drag him into the room( not sterilized) and brag about the stitch he was doing . 3 days after his "amazing" work broke and had to be redone. He tried to blame me, but I was in a hard cast the whole time. Then because I dared to question his work, he called me an uncooperative patient. He is arrogant in the extreme, unprofessional, sloppy, and unqualified to be called a surgeon. If I can dissuade 1 person from this quack's clutches, it will be worth it. Others much better at their job close by. Avoid at all cost
