Doctor told me to "get out and never come back" after I insisted that we be able to record our sonogram for my mother, who was out of the country at the time. He said he had "never had a patient" - yes, that's right - expecting Moms - ask to record their baby's sonogram (all my coworkers have). He said he would be "more than willing to help me find another doctor" and told me that I was the "rudest patient he had ever had"; I admit I was angry when I found out that even though we were paying 960 dollars and their machine was fully capable of recording video we couldn't either have a copy or use our own camcorders, but in my opinion that was no reason for his comments. Also, he has the option to use the interhospital database back up system but does not: he keeps files locked in his office, and if you need someone to retrieve a file for labwork (if you lose the hardcopy), you have to call back between 9-3:30 - whereas for other doctors you can just get your e-file. Does not change.
