Ratings for Dr. Fred F. Shahan
I was directed to Dr. Shahan by the many positive reviews that I saw online on sites just like this. I had some suspicious growths on my back and needed to have them reviewed. Dr. Shahan did a very thorough examination and thankfully they were non cancerous. However, Dr Shahan found many areas of my skin and sun spots on my arms, head, etc that needed attention. I really appreciate his professionalism and expertise and I feel I am in good hands with Dr. Shahan. I am confident that he takes the same amount of care and love with all of his patients. 5 stars for Dr. Shahan ...one of the best!
Dr Shahan has been seeing my surfer husband for almost 2 years now. On his last checkup, Dr. Shahan saw a new suspicious mole and promptly biopsied it. The mole turned out to be a melanoma in-situ (stage 0). Caught very early by Dr. Shahan. We are very grateful for Dr. Shahan's trained eye and his attention to detail. He is thorough and encourages you to stay on top of your regular check-ups. My husband is not one to follow through with appointments, but he took to Dr. Shahan's personality and became a partner in his own healthcare. Dr, Shahan saved my husband's life. Thank you so very much Dr Shahan.
I found Dr. Shahan from RateMD. He is the worst doctor I have ever had in US. I brought my mom to see him, and she had sun skin disease. The experience was terrible. We had waited for 1 hr+, and he just spent 1 min literally asking what happened very briefly. And then, he had a prescription for my mom. In between, he showed very impatiently, and had several yawns, and spent more time discussing with me on smartphone after knowing I am an IT person. Not sure why his rating is so high here.
Last year Monica Gazell, my wife, had Dr. Shahan perform surgery on the left side of her face for melanoma and for sun spots on both of her arms. Nearly a year has passed, and it has become increasingly apparent that his work was virtually perfect. There is hardly any sign that she ever had any skins problems in the first. This is what he had promised her--promise made, promise kept. She was very fortunate that he was her doctor. We cannot praise him enough. James A. Gazell
Dr. Shahan performed facial surgery on my wife on May 22, 2015, for facial cancer and removed various flakely spots on her arms and forehead--spots that would probably turn carcinogenic. He did her work so skillfully that nearly a year later there is virtually no scar on her face and none on her arms and forehead. He is also very personable. F. Allen Richburg, M.D., a widely respected internist, hadrecommended him to us; and we are most pleased with both doctors.
