Ratings for Dr. Miguel Pereira
Dr. P is so great!! I don't mind having to wait a little each time because I know that if I needed a long appt to discuss something he would give me his undivided attention and not rush me out! (unlike at most clinics) he also takes the time to RESEARCH any issues I have questions about if he doesn't know the answer which really makes me feel like he cares !
Usually overbooked. An hour or more wait when the client is on time for an appointment is fairly common. Dr. Pereira is kind and helpful however, and we cannot fault him for not remembering hundreds of patients without consulting his computer records.
I have been with this doctor for 11 years now, sinse he purchased drom dr.price. in the beginning he was amazing! He is still very nice and filled with words of support. . But his practice is slipping. An hour wait minimum for your appointment is unreal! I feel very rushed through the appointment and almost always forget to talk about something I had planned to. Why would you schedule clients for 9 am when you don't start until 930 am? Doctors are scarce so I am stuck where I am. I appreciate your bedside manner.. but I would love it if you atleast washed your hands before touching me or my son.. and took my time seriously. Hour long waits for a rused appointment it's not good buisness.
I've been his patient for years now. I don't get the sense that he know's who I am. To be fair, I see him less than once a year. His care seems OK. Getting through on the phone to make an appointment is hard, and when you do get through, the receptionist is not pleasant. There is always an hour + wait to see him.
I have been going to Dr. Pereira for 10 years. When I started going to him he was fantastic. There were times when he called me at home after an appointment or blood work to make sure I understood everything and was okay. When I go to him now he has way too many patients. He hardly remembers who I am. I only go once or twice a year, but everytime he has to read my chart and he totally forgets things that I've had in the past couple of years. I always have to remind him about things. I don't mind waiting an hour to see him if I feel like he cares about me, but when you wait an hour and go in and he barely recognizes you that becomes a problem. I've talked to others who go to him as well and they echo the same sentiment. One person went to him on Thursday for prescriptions and then had to go back Tuesday for a minor procedure and he completely forgot she'd been in the week before, he wanted to know if she needed her prescriptions filled. I don't feel he is very thorough. If you go in for a pap you get one, but unless you request other things he doesn't offer. This is probably because he has way too many patients. My old doctor when you went for a pap he always did a full physical, breast exam, and blood work. In the last 5 years, the only times he's checked my blood pressure is when I asked because I thought it was odd he never checks and I have a family history of high blood pressure. Anyways I still really like Dr. Pereira I just hope that he doesn't take any more patients and hopefully over time he'll get a workload he can manage better.
Always an efficient and effective use of our time when we have an appointment. Listens, checks, suggests, confirms - goes out of his way to get us to the right specialist when such is needed. We trust his knowledge and application of same. We always feel as though he cares about our good health.
