Ratings for Dr. Steven L. Brint
I have had Crohn's Disease for aver 30 years and have seen many Gastroenterologists as I have moved or my medical insurance changed. Dr. Brint and his nurse practitioner Sally Miller have provided excellent care to me for almost 15 years. Both are friendly and courteous and they have always gone out of their way to visit me when I'm in the hospital (even when its for unrelated issues), squeeze me in for office visits when I'm sick and call me promptly when I call in the middle of the night or on weekends.
I had a colonoscopy and Dr. brint appears very knowledgeable when talking about my treatment nprior to the colonscopy, however I found him and his staff a little impatient wanting me out after it. I frankly do not remember seeing him after the colonoscopy
I was scheduled for an appointment for both Colonoscopy and Upper Endoscopy. My initial meeting with Dr. Brint showed him to be knowledgeable, courteous and caring. He answered all my questions. I was given full, clear instructions for preparation. I arrived on time and the staff was always courteous, friendly and professional. I did not have wait long and all went according to plan. I had been told that I must have someone with me, not just to drive me home, but also to hear the diagnosis/findings after the procedure as I would probably be groggy and not remember everything. This proved to be the case, but it was written down for me to take home. I had a question, called the office and it was answered. I would recommend this Doctor to anyone.
Recently received endoscopy by Dr. Brint. This review is part myself and part the view of the person who came with me to drive me home. We had heard and read great comments about his knowledge and bedside manner. This however was not the case on our visit. Was to have procedure done in the afternoon but was moved to the morning which was fine by me. THe entire time I was there it was like the procedure and discharge of the patient was a race. THis including yelling back and forth from the nurse to the Nurse Assist. to raise the bed to get my BP up quickly followed by the doctor coming in while I am still half out of it to talk about results. I had a couple questions and while he did stand there to answer them it was very apparent he just wanted to be done and out of there. I wanted to ask a couple more questions but I didn't dare. VERY UNHAPPY!
I liked Dr Brint, but I agree with previous post, several of his staff are very unfriendly, unhelpful and unprofessional. His colonoscopy scheduler may be the rudest employee that I have even encountered in a MD's office. With 12% unemployment in Florida, why would he keep her when he could easily hire someone with a good attitude who would provide good customer service?
