Dr. Joshua D. Griggs

Dr. Griggs curiosity about my husbands foot pain led to the diagnosis of multiple myeloma, a cancer of the blood and hemoglobin. His early diagnosis saved my husbands life. During treatment, I met a lot of MM patients who were not so lucky. They had doctored who passé send the symptoms off as something else. I thought Dr Griggs did a careful and thorough job.

THEY MILK THE SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!! Dr Griggs is far too young and all he wants to do is "save the world" He thinks every ailment deserves a huge expensive test to eliminate the worst case scenario. How about we take baby steps and not consider the worst if even a hang nail. I know my own body, Dr Griggs should take that into consideration. If I say I have an overactive bladder, dammit, believe me.

LOVE this doctor. He has helped me and my family so much! We are so lucky to have such a knowledgable doctor on this little island.

While seeing Dr. Griggs told me one's diet has no proven "scientific" affect upon health because there is no "scientific" research on it. I told him the research on heart disease, obesity, diabetes and other such issues can be helped by a diet as shown by the research studies of Drs. such as: Dr. Joel Furhman, Dr. John McCDougall, & Dr. Neal Barnard. He said, their work with major illnesses and the effects of diet upon them was not scientific. I disagreed and he said I was depressed, as he walked out he gave me a summary of our session and had added the ddx of depression. As a psychologist I have seen depressed patients for 30 years and always based my ddx and conclusions upon testing like the Rorschach, TAT, Human figure Drawings, Sentence completion tests and an extensive personal interview. I believe Dr. Griggs might benefit from training in mental disorders as as to not make a dx based upon a few sentences and put things in writing are inaccurate and may be harmful to a patient.

I felt as if he saw me as a second class citizen who didn't know a thing! He did not take his time with me at any visit. Poor eye contact. Worst of all, he simple acted as if he couldn't care less about anything I had to say. He treated me as if he knew all the answers and that I was irrational or a child. Like he knew me and my body better than I did. I have never cried after leaving a doctors office for an annual physical..... but I did after I left this jerks office !!!!

I had been on BP meds for a couple years w/another physician and had this annoying persistent cough. When I started seeing Dr. Griggs he suspected it was my BP meds causing this cough. Once he switched my perscription, the cough went away.

Disappointed in this doctor.Saw some ads in the paper and decided to try him out.He was not able to answer my questions to my satisfaction.I did not feel like I got anything from my visit.I will not be going back
