Ratings for Dr. Marina I. Peredo
You give them your Co- pay and referral weeks latter you get a bill you call to straighten it out that you are covered . The office is relentlessly nasty saying I owe this money and threatening me to put me in collections . After numerous phone calls and statements back and forth between them and my insurance company things finally get cleared up and I owe them nothing . This happens after EVERY VISIT who needs this stress and aggregation there are plenty other good Dermatologists out there, besides you NEVER see Dr Peredo and she is money hungry.
Dr. Peredo is no longer seeing patient's medically. She's telling her patient's she is out on a sabbatical but she's just covering herself. All she cares about is money and her cosmetic patients. She will gladly see you for cosmetics but sends you to other doctors on staff. She's done with the medical aspect of her business.
DON'T USE THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU LIKE TO WAIT FOR HOURS TO BE SEEN. It is all about the money for her, so she overbooks appointments. Office is always full and she is always late to see you as if your time is not valuable! Also watch out for hygiene at this office. I got a severe infection after a biopsy she did. She never takes the blame for anything but she collects her copayments right up front. That should tell you something about where her priorities are...not on the patient!
I went to Dr Peredo to treat dark circles under eyes. She recommended fillers and totally used too much! I ended up with swollen eyes for most of 2 months and was injected to dissolve what she put in. She later stated that maybe she should have spaced out botox and fillers. 6 months and $1700 later she would not take my call and had office mgr say that I should see a plastic surgeon which she IS NOT! Additionally, she told me not to worry the swelling would go down and it would look GREAT! My under eyes look worse than before I went to her! Don't waste you time with this dr.
The Doctor my child saw was wonderful. The staff loudly discussed my account and the office manager turned me away from medical services (although I had insurace and was making copay at time of visit). They do not ever let anyone see the Dr without making a copayment (understandly so) but insisted that I owed one from 2010. I have been a patient for quite some time. The entire waiting room heard that the Dr. would not see me. When I asked to speak to a Mgr. I was sent to the inner office where I was met with someone who worked in billing who also discussed my account within hearing range of patients and other staff. Finally "Karen" (office mgr) agreed to speak to me. I told her I always made copays. I told her I called to discuss matter and no one called me back. She treated me like garbage over $40. And refused medical services to me. I left the office humiliated and in tears.
