My wife and I have scheduled a total of 4 appointments with them from July through August. All 4 appointments where either rescheduled or cancelled. At first we thought it was a one off occurrence. When we questioned it the second time we were told they don't guarantee schedules and don't usually schedule more than 2 weeks in advance. What dental office doesn't routinely schedule 6 months in advance or more? The final straw was when we showed up for an appointment, which was confirmed by there automated system, that they claimed was cancelled. We had the text as proof and was told it was still our mistake. In the first appointment they found a bacterial abscess in 1 tooth we were told to follow up with a Endodontist ASAP and referred. No pain medication or antibiotic was prescribed. We had to wait over a weekend before seeing the endodontist and in that time the abscess grew and became inflamed. Repeated calls to their emergency line where ignored until 5pm on Saturday. At that time only pain medication was prescribed we had to demand the antibiotic. We demanded our medical records so that we could switch to a new dentist and they refused to give them to us. This is a violation of HIPAA. tl:dr - They rescheduled every appointment, failed at treating an abscess, and violated HIPAA by refusing to give us our records.
