Her level of subpar is about what is rampant for peds GI in the area. My son had blood in his stool and reflux and scope showed chronic gastric inflammation. The stool was never addressed on why there was blood. Since there was no EoE she said to stop the Prevacid, and never remarked about the significance of the gastric biopsy. When 3 days later my son needed to go back on the Prevacid I reached out to her office and I was told that his pedi could just manage it for now. Needless to say the NIH that was guiding his treatment was flabbergasted that he was completely discharged from GI while still having reflux, and chronic stomach inflammation. So we ended up going to duke instead.
